You always seem to worry about your videos being too long - I (and I have a suspicion your other subscribers) could watch you for much longer. Your videos are right to the point and so packed with great advice and information. Thank you very much! I am looking at getting into this with Bob White for hunting purposes, but also now looking at meat and egg breeds now too.

Zack, constantly great info from you guys and I appreciate it. One question, not related to the rules, but more just to know before I get started: have you guys done your own fodder at any point and was it worth it to reduce feed costs? I suppose at such a scale it may not work in your case but for a smaller backyard operation, maybe.

We sell hatching eggs on our Website at www.myshirefarm.com Good luck on your journey
Hope someone sees this...i'm in north central ohio, checking out our egg laws...have to be registered by the ODA and licensed by the health department to sell obviously to retail/restaurants, but, AND at farmers markets. I haven't heard much if any discussion on that topic other than NPIP for shipping stuff. I'm nervous now because i've worked in the food industry most of my adult life and they are picky. I don't have a seperate area to store eggs other than my fridge, ugh, because they have to be refrigerated too smh, that means they probably have to be washed too. WHAT!? Wish you would make a video on rules and regulations, I know they vary by state, but overall it's a big deal...the part nobody wants to hear but will have to face!

The most profitable way to sell eggs and live and meat is to individuals not to restaurants and stores. That is where a lot of people go wrong. You would need a lot of license; permits and more plus literally thousands and thousands of quail to supply the orders.
I guess people don’t understand how critical it is for you to have subscribers for monetary purpose smh lol. You did great and I literally binged watched like 7 videos after finding out about you an hour ago. We will be ordering from you in a couple days! Slow & steady! Btw, do you mind reworking episode #2? Subtitles isn’t available and I can’t watch it without it. :( Thank you so much for having passion to educate those who want to be self sufficient and to make an income the right way especially with how crazy the world is! I really appreciate it!! :)

One more comment/question: on the accounting side, do you keep separate books/companies for each of these income streams to determine profitability and how you need to adjust or grow?
@MyshireFarm

I have a separate spreadsheet for each income stream
Hunting clubs and gun dog training clubs.

Hey Zack! Do you have a video/do you think you could do a video where you do a breakdown with how many quail you need for how many you want to feed? I want to build up to enough quail to feed 4 people 1 quail each per day (so 4 quails per day). I tried to do the math myself but I get confused trying to think about the hatch rate, and when you get females vs males and stuff. I think the math I got was I would need 25 females and 5 males if I wanted us to each have 1 quail for dinner 5 nights a week? I'm so confused!

We do have a quail math video about that but I will be redoing it as the sound quality is not great
Hey Zack, you may have covered this in another vid, but was curious anyway. Have any customers expressed concern over registering as a biz for fear that those in control would stalk them? This is regarding what is going on in the poultry kingdom with illness. I’m vague intentionally.

I agree with Zac, I train my own dogs, theses quail don’t fly very well. If they did they would be a gold mine.
