I suspect the wire is just a standard usb cable that QuadLock uses. Other cables are therefore data or other standard usb wires that are not needed for this application of just using it as a DC voltage delivery to the device charging purpose. Mine is still working fine after this fix.

My female port was broken neither. May I know what should I do to fix this? Should I cut both male and female port off and connect the cables just like your video?

I found it easier to just cut the rusted plugs off and solder them in like in the video. It's still working.
