Proper character. Bought him a pint in the springbok pub many years ago. So sad he has Alzheimer's such a cruel disease. Stan you will always be the man at QPR, you are loved.
Zero women in the audience, love it.
Top player, hope Forest pay tribute to him too. God bless you Stan. RIP
Such a shame QPR didn't win the First Division in 75/76. They finished a point behind Liverpool and Bowles was amazing for them.
Oh God, when you listen to these players from years gone by, it makes you sad. They won't be replaced.
Vintage stuff real footballers got stuck in 👍
Good old day's of football, no sponsors on shirts, mostly homegrown British players where today your lucky to see an English player, RIP STAN

Those adverts and sponsorships on shirts really make the shirts look s**t!...Those original shirts back in the day with just the teams colours on were mint!🇪🇬👹
Legend. Sleep well Stan.
Communicate by rumour lol

The way Stan said it meant something different.
Proper game proper player as opposed to the overated premier league players
Been trying to find full episodes of this. Sport in question I think the name was but obviously only thing pops up on search question of sport
Stan would have been a star in the City team of the 70s he was way better than Marsh

Just shows how poorly run City were from the mid 70s onwards to allow a player of that calibre to slip through their fingers.

@joshmelville7464 A lot of managers wouldn't have been able to handle him lol Stan was the type of player you had to give a free reign to and not tell him where to be or what to do. Gordon Jago and later Dave Sexton at QPR quickly realised this.

City were not too far away from the league title themselves in 76. The period after this under the tenure of chairman Peter Swailes was a terrible time with a multitude of poor decisions on player recruitment and retention.

@@joshmelville7464 Very true it was 1977 when they were runners up to Liverpool losing the league by a point, the big mistake was Malcolm Allison coming back
