Alan Davis is a laid back comedian / actor with a quick wit . He's always there to move things along . If you like a really good mystery you might try to find Jonathan Creek in which he starred for several series .

I agreee, he might have cracked a blinder of a gag earlier in this episode (often jointly with Stephen Fry) and is now more laid back to give the other comedians a chance to chime in, because in some episodes it's like Fry treats Davis as royalty and often turns to him first, so it can feel like a double act with a few other comedians on the sidelines lol And yep Jonathan Creek, so true, pretty sure they will both enjoy it but Jodi esp

Also, obsessed with blue whales.
Alan Davies is the name you're looking for.
It stands for Quite Interesting... The first and last time I ever went to IKEA was when I realised you have to walk through the whole store like a mouse in a maze just to get out!
The white cap's definitely working Nick; with the Nevada tan & Jodie looking like she's just stepped out of a salon as usual, looking good kids, looking good.
Alan Davies is great in the comedy drama Johnathan Creek, is a magicians assistant who designs all the tricks and he uses that lateral thinking ability to solve ingenious murders, great show.
6:40 Yes! "QI" is such a great show where you can stop and guess, just listen and learn or or just enjoy the comedy. Love that you keep reacting to it! 👍
Nick' response about seeing something again and again after purchasing or discussing the object rings very true with me.
The guy wearing the jean jacket is comedian Tommy Tiernan and he's really funny and talented. You'd be delighted to check him out.
I remember when I bought a new car, went on a long trip, and saw the same model and colour of car, the licence plate just one digit different!
Seems you guys are quickly closing in on & might hit the 100K subscribers by the end of the year. It’ll be well deserved & a great Christmas present methinks. Best wishes 👍👍👍
Best thing about Ikea is the Swedish meatballs.
I recommend reacting to Stephen Fry vs IKEA. For a game show he has to build a desk and it’s hilarious.
As soon as I walk in IKEA I want to get out - but can't
Tommy Tiernan, with the beard, is a stand up to check out, he’s great.
In my43 years ive never been to IKEA or would want to mix with the general public
Red sky at night; reactors alight. Red sky at morn; nuclear dawn.
Yes, for the win Nick, stop the video right there, it's in the cloud... lol
Guy in Denim Jacket is an Irish Comedian Tommy Tiernan. IKEA EFFECT
“If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit!”
If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down Red and green should never be seen unless there's a colour in-between.
Is Nick über-competitive? Fist pumping QI and WILTY!!
I have a houseful of IKEA Kallax units. They’re pretty robust and look good!
SO true about getting a new car though
Singing the alphabet is another example, I think of things sticking in your memory
Tommy Tiernan is brilliant you should look him up he’s a stand up comedian and actor.
I thought most people would've become aware of heuristics after the word had been planted in their minds by a certain Brian Eno song.
Never been to ikea
One day Nick will open up a fortune cookie and it will say "You Are Right!" and just that, oh that one will get laminated and framed I'm sure :D
Great video. Quick interesting question: You both are teachers. Do you ever use some of the education you see in the videos in your classes ? Ever mention anything you see on these videos as a teaching resource? Also, have you both thought what you learnt from these videos that change your teaching methods.?
Got a Stephen Fry ad during this reaction, spooky, or is it. Proverb when in doubt, do nowt When faced with a difficult decision, it is better not to take unnecessary risks
I get the frequency illusion often, some say it's your parallel universes converging, but I guess there's no way to prove it!
Lefty loosely, right tighty is true
Yep Nick the car is defo a thing.
Hi guy’s, Alan Davis is he’s name. Enjoy your night over there.. ✨
I think it's less about the rhyme and more the fact that the advice has been distilled into a rhyme. It implies that lots of people think the advice is so true it's worthy of a saying being made about it.
Old men with baseball caps backwards , I’m sure there must be a stand up about that . Or at least a Jimmy Carr roast .

Never been
You like the little things Jodi? I guess that's why you married Nick ;P
Please don't wear the caps back to front: you're not 12 ..... 🤦♂🤣
I hate Ikea !!!!!
Maybe it's a cultural difference. Brits pride themselves on their competence. We feel inadequate if we have to pay someone to make something for us. Americans pride themselves on wealth and influence, so it's a status thing or them to be able to say someone else made something for them, not an admission of failure,
You do realise that these are not claiming to be natural laws of the the Universe? :) They're generally principles. They're true, generally speaking. Saying you don't agree with them makes no sense. :)
Just a tip, Ikea is not pronounced "eye-key-ah", it should be "Eh-key-eer" as in something being icky and something else being ickier. I used to live in Sweden

In Swedish the middle part is actually kind of a 'key' and 'kay' at the same time. Not really a sound used in English. It's one of those words so many people get wrong (just about everybody) when you say it correctly people think you're weird.

Of course they (Ik-'ei-a) are clarifying that in the adverts now - just like Sh-kód-a and Hý-ún-dei. Part of that quasii-fascistic-globalist campaign to overturn the universal/millennia-old human tradition of adapting foreign words to fit one's own language and thereby enhancing one's own language.
