That resonated with me so much when you mentioned that people want instant gratification these days. I'm definitely the kind of person who gets frustrated when things don't improve quickly. Italy is such a beautiful place, my boyfriend wants us to talk a road trip around Italy. I speak French and I tried learning Italian - I actually thought that Italian was harder than French haha!

Right! Me too, I wish I could just find “the secret” to learn quick. That would be awesome to travel around Italy. That’s so funny, I really found French pronunciation to be suuuper challenging.

I loooove the idea of you living in Italy and reporting back to us so we can watch it unfold (if you're interested in that). love that you have such goals for yourself! also travel for a year YESSSS! also agree on working for yourself - and can soooo relate to quarantine moments. feeling like the past few months have been a "waste" and so agreed, our jobs are great for money but not like.. our passion HAHA great video xoxoxo

Aww thanks! Yeah I would be so thrilled to document life back in Italy, especially like trying the language with actual Italians and using it to find cool hidden gems that tourists wouldn’t normally be able to find! Plus having the video memories would be awesome. I really can’t wait to travel again. Ugh yes, passion is everything 😭🙌🏼

I've been learning Italian for a long time too! I feel like we could be great friends! haha I'm freshly 24 too! I visited Italy for a summer back when I was 16 and lived with 4 host families! I lived in San Benedetto del Tronto! Thanks for the Q&A!

I use Italki to find a tutor! It’s actually really inexpensive and you can find tutors who charge around $10 or less for an hour session. There are so many tutors to choose from and it’s actually more affordable than you think. 😊 here’s a link to check it out: www.italki.com/i/6dbedf

Not to put you off learning German or anything but German is SO hard, idk if it's because it was the first language I learned but I find Italian a lot easier ahah 😅 Like I just find the grammar like the fact that German nouns have 3 genders rather than 2 and the case system really hard to get my head around 😅 But it's totally worth it ahah and I definitely agree that in terms of vocabulary it's relatively easy and it's kind of satisfying knowing a Latin language and a Germanic language, seeing where all our words in English come from :) I'm going to Italy for a semester this year and am so excited, I hope you get the chance to go again really soon too 😊🇮🇹

There’s barely a case system in German. If you want to see a truly hard language with a real case system, then that would be Russian or Polish.

Interesting) I've been also learning Italian for some time and can understand many things but I can't speak) that is a lack of practice. Learning a foreign language is really good for all people. Good for thinking and keep learning process in the brain activated) It's more fun to learn one language from another as I do: I learn Italian in English (even dictionary is IT-EN) and English is not my first language. And you speak well. I like it. You can start to make some videos for English learners also :-) there are some popular KZread bloggers who are really good in it although they are not professional tutors.

I love your video's. You inspire me so much. And we definitely share the same passion although I am slightly older but this does not stop me. Please continue your journey as you definitely play that part as inspiration for us.

I also love Italian, it’s beautiful language and easy to learn about it, just that complex verb rules, it spoils a lot to the people which they start to improve their grammar

I "don't look like an italian" Is it because your are white and blonde? I know that in the Usa many people believe that italians are darker than white americans. Do you think is it true? I'm italian and i think that at least in the north ,italians are as white as the "average" white americans. I love watching your videos are for me you are a huge inspirations because you managed to achieve two of my biggest dream: Mastering another language and working from home. Just the blonde part is what I was referring to, I know Italians can be blonde but I now live in Italy and Italians looove to tell me I don’t look Italian 😅 like thanks I know! So now it’s confirmed haha. People tell me I look more German or Swedish or something. Unfortunately I don’t really blend in here in Italy. Thanks for watching my videos, I’m glad you find them helpful!

French isn’t hard, it’s the same level as Italian. German is just a little bit harder than French, but not much.

Shea Jordan I agree, the pronunciation takes more time to get used to. If you know Italian though, you’ll see many similarities with the roots of words and also tenses.
