Hello, what do you think about the acquisition method? I am learning as my wife is Italian.
That’s an amazing experience 🥹 Hope I’ll have the same opportunity in the future. I’d like to visit the USA since I have been studyng english for a very long time 🇺🇸 ❤
Io sono impressionato che risposti a tutti i commenti molto dopo hai pubblicato questo video. Ho usato quasi tutti questi suggerimenti mentre stavo imparando Italian da qli ultimi quattro mesi.
Grazie mille
proud of you
Is your boyfriend italain ?
Yes he is 😄
Sono sicuro che presto potrai parlare l ' Italiano perfettamente !!
guys I learned French at school years ago and I can understand native speakers but I can't speak it like I feel there's something stuck I don't know How to Improve my French since I'm not a totally beginner what should I do in this case?
omg i use toggl to record how much i study too! it's always super cool to see you've learnt a lot :)
Do you have any recommendations for male vloggers to follow?
I don't personally watch any ( I prefer pretty girly stuff haha) but I've seen these ones pop up in various searches and seem pretty interesting! Francesco Zini Nicolò Balini Francesco Costa (Ok, I watch his videos, they're very interesting!) Marcello Ascani
@@SheaJordan haha. I will take a look. Grazie
Appreciate this! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
This was really helpful listening to you speak. Thanks. Also, how long did it take for you to 'speed up' when speaking?
Hmm... that's a good question. I'm not really aware of that actually... but probably at least 6 months of living in Italy, because I was using the language all the time. But I had been studying for about 2 years before coming to Italy, but not as seriously as when I got here. Once I got to a comfortable B1/B2 level I'd say.
Which grammar book do you use?
I linked it in the description of the video 😊👍🏼
Great tips. I started reading childrens books and now I've moved up to pre-teen/adolescent books. I'll try the tip of reading translated books. ☺️
Yay! That's great!
Great video! I would like to ask if is it possible to take part time job while on the language course?
Thank you! Yes, you can. Language school is part time throughout the week, typically morning classes. Plus if you’re on a student visa in Italy, you are legally allowed to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week). Hope that helps! 😊
will you be taking an exam for c1 or c2?
I don’t plan on it, I don’t really need it for anything. 🤷🏼♀️ But maybe it would be good to do/have!
@@SheaJordan to challenge yourself maybe
@@SheaJordan Currently I study English and already I have studied Czech. I don't need nothing exams too however I want passing some exams for level B2 or C1 because I just want to make sure which level I have indeed 😂
Great video - new subscriber here. Am picking back up Italian after not speaking it for 15 years! Your recommendations for KZread are so helpful as they are exactly the light kind of videos I was looking for. Thanks from Ireland!
Aww thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Best of luck with reviving your Italian studying! 😊
This intermediate plateau thing is soooo real, specially because in daily conversations we won't see people using the congiuntivo, these connectives like "bensí, affinché, purché", therefore it is really difficult to remember all of them. One day I will get through and arrive at the c1 level, but so far I am still stuck 😅
Exactly! Those words are so rarely used 😂 and I still mix them up all the time, but I really want to practice them and do my best to use them.
💗🤌
Your wall colors are awesome :)
Thank you! I don’t really like the purple ahahah, it was there when I got there. But others seem to like it!
Where do you find the questions that you mentioned? Can I find some free basic questions online?
In the video I was just using this website: www.pronhelp.com/cambridge-c1-advanced-speaking-parts-3-4/
OMG You give me a full plan to learn French heh :) I have to check this out! :)
Haha I’m glad! Thanks for watching!
Spero di farti piacere segnalandoti questo canale youtube per lo studio della lingua italiana: @italianopiu Grazie per i tuoi video in inglese ! Saluti da Genova
I may have missed it but what’s the name of the website you use that gives you topics to talk about? I always just google random topic generator but I usually don’t like all the options it gives
I was using this website:www.pronhelp.com/cambridge-c1-advanced-speaking-parts-3-4/ Often I just look up English C1 or C2 level exam practice questions to use and then translate them into Italian!
I’d like to suggest a great tool that I’ve been using called Immersive Translate. It’s a browser extension that supports over 100+ languages. I personally use it to translate webpages and documents, and even to watch Netflix every day. I like how I’m able to make it a part of my daily routine, and how its uses goes beyond that of a translation app.
Thank you! These videos are so helpful. I feel like I am at an intermediate plateau. When I returned from the school in Bologna, I felt really confident and I was doing well but over the last week, I have struggled. I literally could not think of simple words that I know when I had my italki session on Sunday. Sometimes I feel like I will never get it.
Don’t worry, this happens to me all the time! Some weeks I genuinely feel like I can’t string together even the simplest sentences and it’s so frustrating. Or sometimes during my italki sessions I feel like I’m babbling nonsense and don’t know a lot of words. 😂 It happens, it’s all part of the process!
What do you do in bologna?
I study Italian and work remotely part-time 👍🏼
Will you marry me ❤
mercy! Came for Italian know-how and stayed through the end thanks to your eyes haha! Cheers for the lucky guy :) Sure you'll reach 100-200k subs in no time..thanks for the suggestions! Seriously trying to ditch Duolingo as "la donna mangia la mela" through unit 7 certainly won't do it, thinking of Lingopie but wondering if I can add it on my tv as an app instead of just my PC. Great details and vid!
Hahah thank you! Yeah...I don't really recommend Duolingo, it won't get you far. Using immersion like watching KZread and shows was and still is super helpful for me. Lingopie is a great option, but I'm not sure you can add it to a TV? Haha I could talk to them and see if that's possible or a feature in the works 🤔😉 You could also try Language Reactor for when you watch KZread videos. It's not exactly the same and can be a little clunky, but will at least give you dual subtitles!
i love these ideas and i think i'll try the daily speaking challenge! also, if you've never read in other words by jhumpa lahiri, I totally recommend it. it's about the author deciding to basically learn how to write and express herself in Italian, a language she learned as an adult. it might be really good inspo for your writing challenge :) thanks for your great videos!
OMG someone else recommended her and I forgot to look up her work! Thank you, I definitely want to check her out!
As a multi-language learner, I've explored numerous language-learning apps. Among these, Immersive Translate's multi-language capability has proven invaluable. It has significantly aided me in practicing and enhancing my skills across various languages.
What a lovely person , thankyou 👍
Thanks for watching!
While LingoPie seems to be a good app for language learning, it’s not free. I’d like to recommend a free resource called Immersive Translate that’s really helped me improve my language skills. I use it every day to generate subtitles to my Netflix, and this has been a great way for me to immerse myself in the language. I’ve already learned a lot so far, and couldn’t be happier.
Immersive Translate isn’t just a translation tool. I use it to generate subtitles in my target language for my shows and movies on Netflix, and this has been a great way for me to learn a new language. I love how I can easily make this a part of my daily routine. I’ve already learned a lot, which is great.
Yay I'm so happy to hear that, great job!
As a language teacher i dont really recommend learning 1000 words by flash cards to be honest. Words should be learned in context, otherwise they lose a lot of their meaning and can have you using them in the wrong contexts. You are then kinda just learning a translation. Maybe its better to focus on vocabulary around situations rather than divorced from their context. Its a bit brute force and confusion! The rest was pretty good though well done!
Hello, I want to learn Italian. I would be glad if you could help me.
Look first I tell you has been a good choice to learn Italian language!! Second also if you have done some mistakes with your beauty you are forgiven everything!!
Great tips, thank you!
I'm glad you found it helpful, thanks for watching!
Cosi insieme di Pari passo impiariamo meglio il linguaggio dell ' uno rispetto all ' altro !! However congratulations for that!!
Good choice to learn Italian language!! Se tu insegni a me l ' Inglese poi io insegno a te L' Italiano !!
As someone who started learning Italian recently and learned German years ago, I think this is solid advice that applies to learning any language.
Thank you, I'm glad you thought it was a helpful video :)
I looooooooove italian so much
Me too!! 🙌
Wtf is a quizlet
It’s an app/website where you can make digital flashcards
I'm learning English and already doing the fift challenge for years 😂
Ooooh! haha yay 😂🙌
I want to try English and thank you 🥺🤎
Yay! Good luck!
Grandissima!
I love this idea! This year I have monthly challenges all planned out and this inspired me for another one. Each week, focusing on one of the four learning systems (reading, speaking etc.) In February I did a tv show challenge. I picked a show and wrote down vocabulary from it and then entered the vocab words into a flashcard system. I'd do one episode per week. And at the end of the week, I'd review all of the words and watch the episode to see how much I comprehended.
Oooh that's great! I love that idea you did in February, that's well-organized!
