Q&A - Revolutionary New Planetary Freecoaster Testing! - The Real Deal?!

Answering all of your questions and putting the Planetary Freecoaster to the test!
This hub could change BMX freecoaster hubs FOREVER!
The internals of the Planetary Freecoaster from Free Night are similar to hubs weve seen before, but have one giant difference; planetary gearing.
This allows the hub to be a cassette when moving forward, then immediately go into freecoaster mode with NO disengagement.
This is completely unlike and other freecoaster hub available.
This was my second session ever with a freecoaster on my bike so the learning curve is still there but I'm getting more and more comfortable.
If you guys have anything you'd like me to test or take a look at, let me know in the comments below!!!!

Instant freecoaster when fakie. Instant engagement when moving forward. The key is to make sure the wheel moving forward before applying pressure to the pedals for instant engagement. Awesome. Thank you for reviewing this great product.

As a Bicycle Mechanic of 8years and an owner of a Profile ZCoaster, this hub fucks with my head. Also first time seeing your videos and the switch footed crankflips are real sick.

Im glad to hear that honestly. Hopefully you can try one out. Today's video actually compares this hub to the z coaster and a regular demoltion coaster.

The amount of slack is based on the speed you are coasting and the speed you pedal forward to try and make it engage. Therefore it's a lot easier to make the hub engage when coasting slow versus a fast fakie. Also the quicker you pedal forward the easier you can make it engage since the clutch disk is constantly spinning making the pawls stay down but if you pedal forward faster than the clutch disk spins it will engage.

@Brant_Moore I was able to get hands on a pre production hub a few months ago and have been talking to Tal at Freenight/Nightrider bmx shop about it for a little while now. Still going solid and really enjoying it. There's a learning curve for freecoasters in general as you are finding out but this hub was a learning curve on top of that for me after riding a freecoaster for many years. Glad to help understand it a bit more 👍

It’s very interesting stuff. Thanks for commenting on here and shedding light! It’s definitely got a learning curve but man I’m loving this thing so far. Never thought I’d have a coaster but the small things this hub can’t do are things that I do don’t do so it’s perfect

Damn you pulled some tricks I wasn't expecting, nice one. Hope to see more fakies, crankflips and barspins because you really are amazing at them, but still do the candy bar stuff. As for the hub it's nuts how perfect it works. I thought you might be able to find flaws in it, like how the zcoaster can be made into permenant cassette/coaster. I'm still struggling to understand the internals but it makes sense how it works for riding. Thank you for always listening to the comments and doing things to help out the bmx community and always going into so much depth to really help anyone out. I remember before I watched you often I saw the crank length video and damn just wow
