FYI: if you put your watchface on the inside of your wrist instead of the normal way, then twisting your wrist to check the time while holding a drink won't spill the drink on you.

Well, in my case, I prefer a watch because I spend moving heavy things that I support on my body and I don't trust the pockets of my work pants to take care of my cell phone. Sometimes I bang the watch against the wall because there is little room to move where I work but since it is a cheap watch I don't worry so much about breaking it.

I think Tom wants a watch

A good watch can be available to easily tell you the time even when you're in or under the water. Like a hot-tub. Also it's not uncommon for waterproof watches to have other useful sensors.

I missed Poker? Damn it. I work nightshift but I would have slept early so I could catch them before work if I had known it was Poker night. Is the second week schedule anywhere? I am looking now and still can't see it.

Ah crap, I forgor poker was today!

to be fair, while it is obvious that watches are mildly more efficient, phones have made them redundant. That extra 3 secs you take to pull your phone out is not enough to wear a watch around. And people normally put their phones in a front pocket.

I could never get used to watches, get that annoying rash or fatigue on where you're wearing it constantly (plus a funny tan line), and they're also kinda unsanitary since it's right there on your hand all the time.. at least a phone goes in a pocket, and doesn't have a chance of contaminating food or something :p
