Wow. Congrats Bernice Lim on your first win. Really was pulling for you to have that perfect game in the final match. Bernice you are a really talented bowler. Great adjustment you made in 3rd match just before the final. Also it's great to see the PWBA has great up and coming talent

This telecast is a perfect example of how international the sport has become in nature. Makes it more clear why it needs to be in the olympics

True story. In Reno about 3 weeks ago along the far south hallway where you'd go to get your equipment weighed, I saw a lone woman trying to put her equipment in one of the lockers early afternoon, I offered to hold the locker open since its spring-loaded, and I when I got close enough to notice, I say "wow, are you Danielle McEwen?" It was. Nobody else was in that whole 50 yard hallway. I just should have gotten a picture. We bowled the same 8:30 doubles and singles squad later that day. Cool time at Nationals. I was the guy with the blue Nitro Circus hat. ;)

Wow, thats awesome! Im blown away hearing how much time these Singapore ladies put into training on the lanes alone! It definitely shows that she practices a lot.

I bowled a pro-am when CDB was first coming out on tour. She shot 300 in 9 tap. Was down to earth then and it was down hill from there. To me she is a female PDW.

Awesome bowling and very easy going announcers. They talk normal speed and let you watch shots without the constant chatter unlike those who purposely talk over everything.

If you know 2 repeatable moves, you can solve a rubix cube. I can’t get under a minute, but I can get under 2. Lol

Hey I don't remember the announcers ever talking about how Mcewan (vs Poppler) went back to her old ball that she was using throughout the game except for the 8th frame. To tell you the truth IDK why she changed because she was throwing a good ball. I guess it doesn't matter @ this point since she won the match.....but i just thought it was interesting that a key factor like that was not mentioned. Good bowling ladies.

Danielle was using two different balls. She didn't switch in the 8th. She had a Rocketship on the left lane and the Haywire on the right for the entire game.

We gonna ignore birgot throwing a 300 between game 1 & 2?? Ended on 5 and started on 7

Thanks for the upload. I'm a 190 bowler and each one of these women could kick my ass. Couldn't help but notice that Sandra doesn't use a towel to wipe her ball but uses her jersey instead. I never wipe my ball maybe I should.

Anybody can buy the same balls as the pros use and the lanes are no different

Real question here: why do they have different associations(PWBA and PBA)? There is no reason to separate them in bowling, they can compete with men easily.

I've often wondered this myself...since the average score for women is not far off the average mens....(i think the top few women avg 220's, most in the low 200's, where the majority of top men bowlers average in the 220's+). Id like to see them playing together myself. I believe in 2004 the PBA opened up to allowing women to compete in some/all of the competitions, but i dont know the details. I know in MOST sports, its just not realistic for a woman to compete with men. Women are VERY capable at many things if not almost all things men can do...however science is science. The best of the best men are taller, stronger, faster, etc than the average best of the best women. So the numbers just wouldnt even add up and women would generally never be at the top (like track, weight lifting, wrestling, football, soccer, etc).But non contact sports where form and consistency are dominant like Bowling, Id love to see men and women combine their stats.However it is true that men typically throw heavier balls and throw them faster...i know speed and power has a lot to do with striking out vs just closing a frame (in my experience).

Men have more power and rev rate in bowling. 80% of the time a guy will win. Every other sport has it the same way. It may look like they can compete, but when you consider the consistency they need to have throughout their career and the difference in power and rev rate, guys will win in almost every way

I agree with Eternal X. The men throw their balls at 17-21 MPH and the rev rates generally go from "low" of about 375 rpm to high at almost 550. ALL the women throw their balls slower than this, and the rev rate simply cannot compare. If their respective skill levels were exactly the same, they would get crushed. They look like they can compete, but not really. Can they beat the men? Sure, they can and they have, on rare occasions. But if you put the PBA and the PWBA together into one giant pool, the women would almost never win a title and ALL the women would rarely cash. Just think of it like golf. If a woman pro's drive off the tee is 175 yds and a male pro can do almost 300 yd, the woman would have to be much better and much more consistent to compete. It's just not as even a playing field as you might think.

all comment are the same as ALL videos a trip back in time. I like to date stamp everything so there is no question on the day I made the comment or the day I made the video. today is 8-4-22

Men's PBA where nobody has used them for years banned them. PWBA where many women use them did not. PBR is bull riding.
