Here are most of the notable scenes featuring character Pvt. Hudson from one of my favourite movies; Aliens (1986).
Unfortunately a lot had to be cut to be able to go onto KZread - in particular his first scene when he complains about the floor being cold, when Bishop does the knife game with his hand and when he says about putting Newt in charge sarcastically.
This is in tribute to the actor who played him; the Ultimate Badass Bill Paxton, who sadly passed away on 25th February 2017.
Bill was in a lot of great movies. Some of my favourites are:
Aliens (obviously)
Weird Science
Predator 2
True Lies
No disrespect is meant by this video; it's to show how cool a guy he was, an ultimate badass till the end! He was literally my favourite character in Aliens. #RIPBillPaxton

I also feel like I have to ask you to NOT subscribe to me on the basis of this video alone. I mean obviously I'd like to grow my channel but what I'm saying is I didn't make this video to try and gain notoriety. The only personal benefit I want is for feeling good that I've shown some people someone I thought was cool and that you think the same. Integrity matters! Any apparent/perceived revenue generated will go to a heart charity (I give money to different charities all year round). As h3h3 would say - Papa Bless.
CHARITY UPDATE: $30 HAS BEEN CREATED FROM THIS VIDEO SO FAR, WHICH HAS BEEN DONATED TO THE BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION! I WILL CHECK AGAIN IN A YEAR AND DONATE ANY MONEY TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION AND THEN A YEAR LATER LOOK FOR ANOTHER HEART CHARITY AND SO ON
CHARITY UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY FOX HAS NOW COPYRIGHT CLAIMED THIS, WHICH IS FAIR ENOUGH, BUT IT IS A SHAME AS I WAS DONATING MONEY MADE TO HEART CHARITIES, BUT AT LEAST THE VIDEO IS LEFT VIEWABLE.

I know these aren't all the scenes but unfortunately the original 8 minute long video was blocked worldwide unless I removed several scenes which were matched for Visual Content. Sorry about that, but hopefully the ones I could get up are enjoyed and we can fondly remember Bill as Hudson! More info on why scenes are missing on this Raw News: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ap9728pthaaphsY.html #RIPBillPaxton - played my favourite character in Aliens. Also loved him in Weird Science, Predator 2 & True Lies. He's in many many more films. #UltimateBadass

That explains no "Hey Vasquez have you ever been mistaken for a man?" and "Hey Bishop do the thing with the knife" ; At least they tell you what part is blocked. Fair enough if they do that. It sucks on the rare occasion a 'copyright holder' throws a strike. It's also interesting to know his scenes were roughly 8 minutes of the movie.

Was it Shakespeare or James Cameron who wrote: "Bishop should go. Good idea." I saw first run in a movie theater with my friends at a mall. I remember it like it was yesterday. Paxton stole the show. Hudson was the voice of the audience similar to Lambert in the first movie. It was nice to see him step up at the end "Oh you want some of this!" It's one of the most quotable movies for me along with Star Wars from well-defined characters and not just the lines the way they acted them. Not to get too heavy-handed but they're lyrical quotes. It's silly when 'critics' denounce them for having tin ears for dialogue. Ironically Shakespeare wrote a lot of plays for both the common man and royalty. Imagine them walking around quoting like we do. I found a quote by Joshua Engel that sums it up "Shakespeare had a big theater to fill and he wanted everybody there." Sounds familiar. Now don't ask me to pick my favorite ALIENS line there's too many lol But "I'm on it" so the ones I go back to most often are Game Over Man..., Hey Vaszquez..., and Newt's They Mostly Come out at Night Mostly.

Fun Fact: Hudson had the name "Louise" on his armor in Aliens. Louise was Bill's wife and they've been together this whole time. During the filming of Aliens, Paxton would always apologize to Carrie Henn "Newt" for the foul language his character used. This speaks volumes about the kind of man Bill was and, imo, separates him from typical Hollywood. Louise, you and your children have my sincerest condolences.

Obsession with superheroes is the problem. Modern movies seem to forget that even the good guys are made of flesh and blood, enemies (whether aliens, riflemen, or swordsmen) are quite proficient in getting metal into YOU, and when you get metal inside you you dont just fly into a wall and get up unharmed, you generally die.

@@Debbiebabe69 That isnt the problem. I still think the original Batman movies are alot of fun (the keaton/burton films). The problem is CGI. As CGI improved, studios relied more and more on visuals and effects over story and characters. Much like alot of triple A video games, they put way to much weight and effort into how it *looks* instead of.. well.. everything else. That was the great thing about limited effects. There is aLOT to be said for having limited resources and "making the most of what you have". Now, AAA game publishers and high end movie studios dont really have those limits, so effects run wild just because they can add them. Limitations are why you dont actually see many aliens on screen at one time in this movie. I think they only had like 3 aliens made. So much of the movie you barely see them and instead, see the implication that there are tones of them with the motion sensors, the automated turret ammo and sounds. This also added aLOT to the movie that i think would have been lost today if they just CGI'ed in a bunch of aliens (which they totally would do).

Me and another boy would take turns being Hudson. I was grounded repeatedly for screaming his final scene's lines for nine houses of families eating dinner to hear. ThatEmoGamer for the secondary striking teeth they had dracula teeth attached to empty toilet paper rolls . I remember a few kids had tails but I can't remember what was used for them. To let us marines know they were under the floors they would get real low and crouch. That let us know we couldn't shoot them. We played Terminator , Friday the 13th , Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors (with real steak knives and wires attached to a glove) , Halloween , Predator , Robocop. All the greats were reenacted. We had a latchkey friend with every great R rated film dubbed off HBO onto VHS. No parents to stop us. Hudson coming full circle. Love it! First off he's full of marine's beans (probably because he's had plenty of missions before and had many weapons that annihilated the enemy) but when he realises his independently targeting particle-beam phalanx, tactical smart missiles, phase plasma pulse rifles, RPG's, sonic electronic ball breakers, nukes, knives and sharp-sticks are no longer available to him anymore, or aren't worth piss against this kind of enemy, he completely wigs out. He no longer has that same life-saving insurance like before, and believes he's going to die. Ripley tells him to get a grip and that they need him so he passes the fear barrier. Just like the brave marine we know he is, going out in a blaze of glory. Completely psyched out and taking it to the Alien like everyone watching it would love to do! AND like no other character in the whole franchise has done other than Ripley. RIP Bill! We will miss you lots!

A clever actor and much loved. It was his character, Hudson, that was the foil for Sigourney Weaver's character Ripley - and which allowed Ripley to shine, dramatically. I listened to the audio book of Aliens yesterday and have decided that Hudson is vital to make Aliens a satisfying story. Having a funny line after a tense action sequence, being the foil for Ripley (as you rightly stated), and really selling the “we’ve got this!” attitude of the USMC soldiers...I wouldn’t want anyone else doing that but Hudson. It’s truly sad that he’s gone...

The scene at 2:25 still evokes the same emotions as when I first saw it in the theatre in 1986. They're surrounded and doomed and they don't know it...yet. Hudson is the cornerstone of that scene, calling out the tracker readings. He's not sure about what's going on, but knows something is terribly wrong. Paxton made that scene one of the best in the entire movie.

Bill Paxton really made this film. The fact he started as a cocky, arrogant frat douche that thought of the whole trip as a joke and then quickly turned into a cowardly, whining bag of nerves is one of the reasons the film is as tense as it is. The fact that the mere prescence of the aliens can break these hardened soldiers down really highlights how terrifying they are.

Fuck, Hudson remained until the end. He went down fighting, that movie and many others will be with me forever. Because he was in them. Bill Paxton was and still is awesome, now and forever. Thank you Bill

In every call of duty game team deathmatch when facing overwhelming odds, I simply state "Game Over man, Game over"! and always get an immediate laugh and reply Hudson!

His acting at 4:49 to me will always be how I picture Bill Paxton. The ultimate bad-ass protecting the rest of his crew and going down in a blaze of glory. All courage and zero fear knowing his time was up. His character gave the rest of the crew the time needed to escape. RIP Bill Paxton.
