Very nice! We’d love to watch you shoot some at the target! To get the superglue off you need to use 100 % acetone (fingernail polish remover - make sure it’s 100%-get at the beauty supply store) You’ve got some jammin’ knives

Justin not sure how it would work but we use a certain brand super glue at work that is very fast to dry after applying. Really strong stuff works on metal ,plastic, ceramic, about everything. Its called Rapid fuse. Lowes and home Depot has it. But recently had hard time finding it.

Ps. If you ever go to a wooden shaft you can't beat Duco for a proper glue. A port Orford cedar shaft with a metal blunt topped over by a rubber blunt and fired from a heavier bow will turn a rabbits head into mush. Plus you can stump shoot with it. That's something that won't work with an aluminum or carbon arrow.

Those turned out pretty good, Justin. But you can make a feather clamp out of 2 short pieces of 1 by. Gettem even and drill a couple holes through the middles and stick a couple screws through. Use a wing nut so you can tighten and loosen. That'll hold your feather secure. Another flat board with sand paper on the bottom will flatten those quills slick and thin as you wantem. If the quill is a little wide an exacto knife along the edge will gettem just right. If you want a different color Ritz dye colors them up fine if you hold the whole feather with a clothes pen and let it dry. Looks like turkey feathers are fragile but they're not. Ifvthey get looking kind of ragged hold them over a pot of boiling water and work with them they'll straighten out pretty good. I don't like my arrows to whistle so I round the feathers front and back, leave them long and at least an inch high for good drag. Main thing though is the balance. More weight towards the tip of the arrow the better they'll fly. And you're right. Plastic vanes on a traditional bow won't work. I shoot a 60 lb Bear long bow with slightly recurved tips. Love it.

@@SpiritoftheOutdoors Justin, there used to be some videos put out by Shultz about the Howard Hill method of shooting. You might Google that and I'd recommend you get hold of a series of books under the title,THE BOWYERS BIBLE, volumes 1, 2, and 3. Those guys were making bows, testing bows and coming up with most of the answers way before any of these internet Johnny Come Latelys. But if you want to kill a deer that bow you've got and the arrows you fletched will do the trick.

@@SpiritoftheOutdoors just get that deer within 20 yards, 15 is better. Make sure that deer is not on the alert. If he's taking a step he's committed, not as apt to dodge the arrow. And aim low.

@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I like a lung shot better than a heart shot. First deer I killed with a recurve I missed the lungs, and sliced the aorta. If I'd been lucky he'd have lain down about 30 yards away and I'd have found him right there. That's exactly what he did but some loud talkers and brush stompers came right up to my tree. They spooked him off his bed. I tracked him through leaves into a big field and lost him. I finally gave up and headed for the car. It had been at least 2 or 3 hours. He was laying next to the road at least a hundred yards from where I'd shot him and still had enough gas to jump up and make 2 bounds before he died in midair, crashed and burned. It was just luck I happened on him. They're a tough animal.

I have my turkey feathers save from the last 3 Gobblers. I have made them for my cedar shafts. So rewarding to shoot and hunt with them. Try Loc Tight super glue gel. Easy to get and works best. Nice job.
