Hey Justin! Dad always said, "If you're going to kill time... work it to death!" Having a busy schedule... within reason... is a GOOD thing! Not everyone is Robin Hood right out of the gate! Continued practice & tighter groups will pay off down the road! The Medieval Longbowmen of England put theirs in the ground as well... so you're following a long and time-honored tradition! Watching you & Brody open the packages warmed my heart & tickled my soul! Mike makes some OUTSTANDING gear! WOW! Hope you all enjoy the candy and that you like reading the books as well! Bears Of Blue River would make some good stories for Brody before bed time. Dad did the same for us, back in the day... and I have some mighty fond memories of that! God Bless You All!

I am insufferably pleased with myself! It is dangerous to say that you love books when another book lover overhears! Sorry that your "To Read List" just got longer! If you see any similarities between you and Rob Shatto, the main character of "The Arrowmaker"... who am I to say differently!!!! Savor both the books & the candy! @@SpiritoftheOutdoors

Hi Tommy! I came across Justin's channel when I was going through a very rough patch in my life. (It's better than it was, but I'm not out of the woods yet!) I shall be forever grateful to Justin for his example & encouragement to me when it was sorely needed. Being able to put a smile on his face... and Brody's... felt pretty good to me. Thank you for your comment. We are all in this together & a rising tide lifts all boats! Take Care! @@tommylitchfield3450

I got a little scared when you had me stuck out on the tree limb, but I took me a deep breath and got over it. I was real glad to be back on the tree stand, I must say. I was glad the wind didn't whup around and blow me off. I always wanted to learn to shoot without sights but I never did. A few years back, somebody decided that they wanted all my stuff more than I did, and took my ol PSE, so I think if I ever do get back to slingin arrows, I will try my hand at a recurve or longbow.... I never did like stobbin my arrahs in the dirt... Personally, I like to joog my arrahs in the ground... back when I had me some to joog, at least... I hope that feller is having a blast in Parchman. They caught him. He admitting to robbing about 25 families in East Mississippi and West Alabama. I guess they offered him time OFF in exchange for cleanin out their theft log book... Modern justice at work.... That boy said he's gonna stick that powder horn up his nose!!! He just won't do!! Mr. Mike, you made Brody a fine new knife!! And that candy is gonna keep EVERYBODY up at night!! All Brody needs is a gallon and a half of Mountain Dew and he will be wound up tighter than Dick's Hatband!

Justin start at 5yrds and move back to 10 and do this until your group starts to tighten, and gradually increase your distance. Bow hunting will get in your blood. Shooting moving targets is very important to do also, and lots of fun . Glad to see a traditional shooter, that is the simplest, less gadgets to worry about. Good hunting brother.

Justin This is the best information. I shot over at least 5 deer when I first started with my long bow. I started aiming very low on the deer like I was trying to hit the point of the elbow on the deer and I started killing deer

I'm no competitive shooter.Have killed a pile of deer with my bows.I was watching you shoot and noticed your grip on the bow as you draw.I make a v with an open relaxed right hand as I draw, and let the bow center itself every time I draw.If you grip the riser the tendency will be to miss horizontally...left or right of target.

Youre rilin up yur walchers bud. 😂😂 yur arms gettin tired. After so many shots with a "real" bow yur arm gets jelloey. My father has stacks of racks he got with his recurve. Had to switch after his shoulder problems. Recurves no slouch at huntin deer. A compound really drives em home tho.. My cousin broke his recurve in half because his draw length was 6 inches longer and was use to a 80lb pull. Ive still got the recurves my cus gave my dad after breaking it. My cus can shoot a dime at 100yds. Im just mediocre.🎩🌄🦁
