The music is perfect Cam.
And you are an organizational wizard!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this one. So good to see a Datsun in the collection! When I first heard the 240Z start, I was thinking "nah that's not a 6 cylinder" (especially with the fan noise). But that misfire (or two) sounded suspiciously like an L series. Haha!

Haha I feel like all Datsun owners have experience listening for the sound of a dropped cylinder or two 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, what a well ran garage. Small space big goals being met. Hi from Texas

Yeah it's tight but I make the most of it - Texas is the place I'll end up if I ever win the green card lottery 🤣🤣
Hey Cam, Enjoyed watchin* your purple crumble project, I power watched all your episodes: keep up the great work and entertainment. Can’t wait to see the series in time laps when it’s finished,

Thanks John, binge watching the VC series is a mission! She'll be back on the channel soon and i think once it's close to final paint I'll probably do Part 1 of that time lapse. 👍
Mate this is awesome! It's great to see what you're able to achieve with that narrow space you have. It makes me realize I can do more with my carport area that I am limited to 👍

Yeah as much as we'd all like massive workshops the reality is most of us just have to make do - I've seen people paint cars under portable gazebos with no sides. Anything's possible.
Great tool! Rotisserie looks like you will be able to do more with the space you have! If you see my pictures, I had a 76 Datsun 280Z. Great little project for your 73 would be to turbo the engine. Violet Crumbles is like my 76 Celica that I had back in the day. . .loving this channel. Keep up the great work!!

240 is matching numbers so going to just do stock cause I'm too tight to impact its value. Love the shape but not sure I have the passion for the 240 the way I do the Celicas. Time will tell.

@@TheBuildRoom Only original once, sounds like a great plan! Good investment.
Posting for the tshirt and to help with the algorithm 😋 Love your eps mate, they’ve been helping me with my TA22 flatlight build here in Melbs 🤙

Haha two great reasons to comment mate, jealous of the flatlight, have considered modifying my 22 when the time comes

Thinking of using it to do the giveaway as a chook raffle....
Can’t wait to see progress on the RA28! I also took screenshots of you dismounting the front grille/lights as I’ve been restoring mine for the last 3 months and forgot how it went back together 😂

Hahah - yep that's the advantage of making videos as you go, always there for reference later!
That 240Z is money Cam. Sounds okay to me! Fix that one up nice and you can buy a dedicated garage. I have a friend at work who tells me the real estate market in Australia is ridiculous, so fix it up really nice. I love the 240Z, it's one of the all time classic sports cars.
I’ve been wondering since the beginning what was behind your bench. Now I get to know. Super cool hidden Dato As for the rotisserie I only wish I’d done that. Underbody resto is going so much easier. Hoping the rear mount holds up. Great ep once again.
@TheBuildRoom

Yeah the rear mount seems pretty sturdy and the welds on the mounts are decent so fingers crossed - has to come off again to weld on the new rear before the underside gets a go.

@@TheBuildRoom it’s definitely the way to go. I Just need a longer garage. Looking forward to some Doofa action.
Looking good Cam! A more funner game would be to guess how many bolts broke getting this rotisserie ready. I guess 13, cause 13 is my lucky number. I stopped at 7:47 to type this. Keep going Cam!

Just the one bold this time!
Four in a row Cam and I don't need a shirt, 'cause I have one. Those rotisseries are awesome. I wish I could put my car in one just the way it is - maybe if I had a Tesla - no fluids like in an ICE car. Interesting. Invent something where you can rotisserie your car without having to drain all the fluids first and you can get two garages! Let your car sit in the sun for a few days and let the hydroxyls kill any mold, just in case.
That will make life so much easier !! Will be good to see a bit more on Doofa As for the 240z next best to a celica 😊

Haha clearly my heart belongs to the Celica too, but couldn't pass up on the opportunity to do a 240z at least once
Hydraulic Rams are where Steel Wool comes from...always learning from your videos! 🤣But seriously, great episode! I'm torn between putting mine on a proper rotisserie or just building a wooden J-Frame/rollover jig. Seeing the car rotate 360 without too much hassle carries a lot of weight.

Go the rotisserie for sure - I've already turned it over a bunch of times since the episode and having confidence i can do it safely on my own is a massive win.
Love this series. Very good work

Lol - that was a rollercoaster! There's a series on the initial build of it linked at the end. Time for Phase 2.
Literally looking at rotisseries right now! Perfect timing on how to mount. How do you get it to the sand blasters on the rotisserie? Do you take it off and out it back on at the blasters?

It's really solid, will send it on the rotisserie and just strap that down, just have to get a decently long car trailer 😂
I'm a bit late in the game here. I did not even attempt to guess the car under the cover until you started her up. I said "no way, that is a Z". Beautiful story I want to share. I am in my late 40's now but back when I was just a little pod of a girl at 18 years of age, I came across a dealership that was selling a 1972 Datsun 240z. Baby Blue & the most beautiful car I had ever laid eyes on. They were wanting $1500 US dollars for her so I signed the dotted line & agreed that the dealership would hold on to her until I could eventually pay her off. In the mean time, I worked for a Mom & Pop pizza shop and the Pop got wind that I was paying off a car & the lot still had it. He was kind enough and liked me enough to offer me his car that just sits on his property with no use. This car was a 1976 Toyota Celica GT Liftback, 8 Track, louvers on the back window and the original Silver, Oxidized paint with vinyl top wrap & original rims. I had no idea about these cars but fell in love. He sold me this one owner car with less than 100,000 miles on it for $500.!! Eventually I paid off the Datsun 240z and loved her as much as I could but had to eventually sell her for she had many issues that I could not find resolution to. Yes, I still kick myself for this but what do you do when you are just trying to survive in this world? The 76' Celica was my mate for 10 years. He (Elliot) was an amazing part of my life. My husband, at the time, talked me into getting rid of him and "upgrading". After much debate, I surcomed. I regret this completely but it is what it was. Fast forward to the current time....I found myself an almost exact replica of my Elliot with only 47,000 original miles. I am now the 3rd owner and in the process of restoring her. @thebuildroom, you inspire me & I am thankful I have stumbled upon your channel. Do you happen to have a brother in the States that can help a girl out?!? ;) Thank you for the tips and tricks you provide. Eventually, I will record the process of the restoration of my 77". She is a true beauty and I'm sure you would take a liking to her. Sincerely, TDH

The green RA28 was originally the stock green, but has been painted over before i go it - don't think it was a very good job but its more of a solid, non metallic green. Very oxidized now but does come back with a polish.
The Z sounded like a 289 302 ve 2bbl ...even the starter sounds like a ford.
