FYI at 12:03 the replacement support from lmc is designed to fit over the existing bracket so you don't have to remove the old one. At least that's what we did. There was also minimal rust

Hey anyone have any advise on putting this engine in a 96’ Impala SS, ie…accessories, best trans combo & fitment?

The AFM system fails too often. Every body deletes them when they find out how often they fail and how expensive it is to repair.

I gotta put one of these in a 96 Impala

Weird tip: black nail polish...it dries hard, and comes with a small brush. About a buck for the cheap stuff. After drilling a hole it can be used to protect the metal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

GM should not have used the name LT1 on anything newer than the 1972 Z28 and Vette. The LT1 was used on the 70 to 72 Z28 and the Corvette.

John Milner lack of creativity when it comes to marketing. Wife’s 2007 Tahoe LTZ started rusting inside 3 yrs at the door skins. Paint peels without any history chipping. Wheels rusted in 3 yrs and wouldn’t hold air. Cheap ass engineering. They want high dollar price for old school Hyundai engineering, who definitely upped their game. GM get your shit together!

Why weld in a bolt in tunnel? Bolt it in.

I love the truck, and the host are outstanding. My complaint goes to the producers,... That motor will run into the neighborhood of 15 to 20 grand. The frame and suspension upgrades have to be tipping the scales at around ten grand, and you haven't even gotten to the body and paint, or the interior. Very very few of us are going to go 40 to 50 grand on a pickup. I know your promoting for an aftermarket parts company, but a lot of us are tired of being told, that our dream will have to stay a dream. Find something that you can build, ( and look good) for ten grand. You'll be shocked at the number of customers buying their products after that. Can't do that? Okay, cater only to the rich, and watch the rest of us stop tuning in.

Stacy's from Boise, Boise is a Republican State, the Republicans would sale their own mother's blood to make a profit. Simple equation, easy to understand and prove. I like Stacy, but he should have tried a little harder to go low buck, or just told the truth about our chances to aford much of anything at all. If your making it better then others, bless you, but yes, they do expect you to spend that kind of money. That's why a paint shop qouted me 10,000 dollars, just to respray a 63 chevy pickup. You have the floor,...show me one car, ( not gotten from a family member) that was posted ( looks great) made before 1976,...that only has ten grand invested in it.

How much did that LT1 cost? 10k - 12k? No one ever talks about cost of these projects. At the end you've spent $100k for a $35k truck... I have a 1972 C-10 and would love to do stuff like this but the ROI always stops me which leads to frustration. Results in just dreams and not action. Nice video however.

I wish they would have put the 8 speed in, but a 6 speed has it's place.

What about the pedal assembly

Never use a impact on any bolt in a rear end they are very hard and will crack seen it many times

I wish I coulda done this to my 69 when I had it. It was my daily driver for years. Had a mild 350, 350 turbo, and 4:11 gears. It was NOT good on gas lol. The lock in torque converter didn’t even work. It pretty mich stayed in 3rd gear all the time and it was already screaming at 55mph. But I miss the old days of hearing gas slosh around in the cab lol

Too bad the fuel tank wasn't placed in a more safe position

GM designed some trucks with the tank outside the frame, these guys didn't do too bad.

AFM is one of the worst ideas GM ever had, alot of work to fix them, which is why they make kits to eliminate it
