On the north, I've heard & read "reports" of legitimate sounding strategy of: The border is secured by a v ligth border force who's job it was to be fop like (forward observation point) who in the event of an attack is to report the attacking forces position and composition while slowing their advance while retreating to more defensivle lines. Reasons being, to build ON the border would be suicidal and also western systems aren't allowed to be used (or weren't at the time) on russian sovereign territory. I don't know how valid this is.. but it sounds feasible without direct knowledge of what is going on.

9:15 I am increasingly embarrassed and frustrated by my own country, the USA, and other so-called freedom-loving nations of the West and their lackadaisical attitude toward the war. Perhaps we need a geopolitical definition of "freedom" which these nations could digest, then rally around THAT flag. However, even with the Ukrainian conflagration on their doorstep, I doubt they can find a common cause to rouse them out of their comfort zones. Today I'm commenting from Przemysl Poland, poised to reenter Ukraine in a few hours. This will be my 5th 90-day-visa-free work period developing the Resilient Village project in the first villages north of Kyiv. I am determined to stay here for the rest of my days using my skills as an emergency manager, disaster responder, and off-grid permaculturist to partner with Ukrainians in surviving and defining their path to becoming a free nation.

The media, if it were controlled by the US or UK governments, would be no different editorially then they are now. Why isn't Ukraine diverting all money it receives to home grown FPV drone production? Thee bbomb carrying drones are so effective and it keeps the operator away from the contact line with the Russian infantry. The various Ukrainian charities should be directing 1100% of their funds to drones and this will reduce need for vehicles and ambulances and bandages etc that are incurred when infantry has to get close to the front line and snipers.

So, the Swiss summit with Zelensky's "peace formula" was a bit of a mess. The main idea was to get not just Western countries but also big players from the "global south" - China, India, Brazil, and South Africa - to discuss and approve Zelensky's plan as the main peace proposal. But then, the big three BRICS partners of Russia all refused to send leaders to the event. We don't know what India's stance is yet And Hungary vetoed a resolution from the Council of Europe saying that there's no alternative to Zelensky's peace plan and they called for real peace talks to start with Russia involved. So, it's looking like most of the main leaders from the "global south" countries won't be at the meeting in Switzerland right now. South Africa and Brazil have both said they won't attend, and it's a big unknown whether China will be there or not." If they're not, it'll be a total flop. It's not worth having a conference with our allies if they're all missing, that's what Alexey Goncharenko, a Ukrainian MP, said.

Almost all wars end in negotiations. Usually it happens when both sides are utterly exhausted. However, Ukraine's negotiating position needs to be as strong as it can be. Last year's Ukraine much-hyped and well resourced counteroffensive resulted in gains of only 199 square miles (515 square kilometers) worth of territory by December, according to the Washington Post. Russia has taken 553 square miles (1,432 square kilometers) so far this year, of which 294 (761 square kilometers) just since the beginning of April, the US outlet noted. The data is sourced from the Institute for the Study of War, a DC-based think tank run by Kimberly Kagan - sister-in-law of Victoria Nuland, the former US State Department official in charge of Ukraine. So Ukraine counteroffensive took less territory in 6 months than Russia has taken in 6 weeks!! But according to Dom , Russia is on its knees and a 15:00 he claims Russia has still not managed to recover a much territory as Ukraine gained in its counteroffensive.

Ukraine on Backfoot as Russian Forces Make Gains in Kharkiv | The Grand Strategy With G.D Bakshi kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5aCu85pqLCwobg.html Russian Forces have seized approximately 100 to 125 square kilometers of territory in the northeast Kharkiv region, encompassing several villages. In this episode of The Grand Strategy with Major (Retd) GD Bakshi, he explains how the Russian troops are capitalizing on Ukrainian vulnerabilities in manpower and weaponry amid the delayed arrival of new U.S. military assistance. They are now pressing deeper into the partially occupied Donetsk region, with a notable focus on Pokrovsk located just inside Ukraine's border in Donetsk Republic World

KHARKIV On FIRE: Russian Missiles Wiped Out The Enemy Base Along With French Soldiers┃AFU RETREATS kzread.info/dash/bejne/foqsm6uuhKm5lMo.html The breakthrough of the Russian army in the Kharkiv direction of the front gave full initiative to the Russian troops not only in the 'Volchansk' and 'Liptsy' directions but also in other areas of the Special Military Operation. It seems that the rapid retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the northern part of the Kharkiv region has finally destroyed the morale of Ukrainian soldiers. As of May 18, 2024, the retreat of the Ukrainian army is recorded not only in Kharkiv, but also in the Donetsk, Kupyansk, and Zaporizhia directions of the front. Borzzikman

Is this why he does not allow the election to take place, would it mean along with his daughter being sent to the battlefields, he and his wife would gladly go along with his daughter? He is a patriot willing to die for the cause, is he not?
