If you want to get to the root of why Putin came to power, devote a full episode to what happened during the 1990s across the former Soviet Union. I lived and worked there during that time and it was a deadly anarchy. There's a reason regular people got behind him. They saw what the alternative looked like. Russia is a hard, hard place with a collective trauma people in the modern west can't begin to get their heads round.

That sounds deep but it's not always true. Power does corrupt because to maintain it you have to do evil things. Dictators often think they are what is best for the country and so see evil acts to retain power as a means to a moral end. It's also about freedom. Psychologically it is very difficult to let go of power. Its Like being the first to lower your gun in a standoff. If Putin were to give up power completely there would almost certainly be a civil war. If he were to loosen the reigns of power he would be overthrown and Russia would fall into civil war.

This video takes us on a deep dive into Vladimir Putin's rise to power, from his low-key beginnings in the chaotic 90s under Yeltsin to becoming the powerhouse leader of Russia, a country that spans 11 time zones. It's fascinating how Putin, once barely known, has come to hold such an untouchable position. The part that really grabs your attention is the exploration into Putin's mind. You get to peek behind the curtain at what drives him, how he thinks, and the moves he's made to stay at the top. It's like unpacking the layers of a very complex character who's had a massive impact on global politics. For anyone curious about the forces that shape our world, this video is a goldmine. It's not just about the history; it's about understanding the person behind the power.

_Today, a record number of Americanos can't afford rent and they may think they've got it bad on their side of the Atlantic, but spare a thought for the little island on the other side of that great ocean. A land of black taxis, red buses, stiff upper lips, and corrupt property factors. What is a "property factor", I hear you Americanos ask. Well, a property factor is a private company which is supposed to take care of the maintenance of private homes or apartments in a neighborhood, and they do this by employing plumbers and electricians and cleaning companies, etc. That is, a property factor is a "bridge" between homeowners/tenants and the actual people who carry out the actual maintenance. In return, the homeowners/tenants pay the property factors (a.k.a. residential factors) a fee (perhaps monthly, and perhaps other fees as well, as is deemed necessary by the factor themselves.) But this is where the trouble (for the homeowners/tenants) starts. When they the sign the Deed which (among other things) says that they will pay a collective fee to the property factor, the ability to choose whether or not they wish to pay is essentially and legally taken away from them. It's like collective punishment. They may own their own home and may not want to be burdened by the maintenance of common areas in an apartment (for the SIMPLE reason that they don't live in an apartment!), but their hands are tied -- they signed the Deed (without doing so they'd not have been able to own their own home in the first place) and they are now at the mercy of the property factor who (if they are dishonest, and in most cases in this country, they ARE) can inflate charges, and bully and threaten homeowners with legal action if they refuse to pay up. Probably the WORST property factor in the UK is called _*_James Gibb Property Factor_*_ based in Scotland. This company is, for all intents and purposes, a _*_criminal organisation._*_ They will charge astronomical fees (far above and beyond what other factors would charge for similar "services") and they won't answer emails or phone calls from apartment residents when they complain about a broken elevator or light fixtures or dampness on a wall or leaky plumbing or a backed up toilet. The Directors of this wretched company have been STEALING money from clients for years, but no one can stop them. In fact, the _*_Group Managing Director of James Gibb_*_ happens to be the _*_CHIEF EXECUTIVE of the PROPERTY MANAGERS ASSOCIATION SCOTLAND (PMAS),_*_ I kid you not. That is how corrupt Scotland has become. James Gibb's No.1 priority is to squeeze as much money as possible from clients and use intimidatory tactics to prevent them from taking to social media to air their grievances about this criminal company._ If you look at uk.trustpilot.com/review/jamesgibb.co.uk and read all the POSITIVE reviews about James Gibb factors, you will notice the similarities in word construction and style of writing. Several posters have noticed this. I am pretty sure that *James Gibb* has employees writing FAKE reviews in order to counterbalance the dozens of NEGATIVE (genuine) reviews by disgruntled clients. This company is really, really insidious and corrupt. But they know no one will stop them, least of all the Scottish Government. Why? Because a body called the Property Managers Association Scotland (PMAS), which advises the Scottish Government on all matters pertaining to housing (including factoring), is currently headed by the C.E.O. of *James Gibb Property Factor.* Furthermore, the immediate past C.E.O. of *James Gibb* is ALSO a current member of the PMAS board. *James Gibb Residential Factors* are now the biggest factor in Scotland, having gobbled up nearly all of its competition in the last decade or so, so today they are a near-monopoly in the factoring business. In the USA, the competition commission would never have allowed a company to become so big that competition would've been stifled. But this ain't the USA, this is Scotland, where even the government is corrupt. So, even the dumbest and most naive of us can see why the Scottish Government (headed by a man called Humza Yousaf) will never take this corrupt establishment called *James Gibb Residential Factors* to task over their criminal activities. Scotland is truly a corruption-riddled nation.

Why wouldn't they? While not every single Russian supports him, he is incredibly popular among Russian people. He's been the power behind the transformation of Russia from the state that the country was in following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia's economy is growing at a faster rate than many countries around the world - certainly their economic growth has left every European country in their wake... You need to know that outside the tiny bubble that comprises the NATO countries, among the remaining 82% of the world's population he is a massively admired and respected leader. A big reason for this is that Putin won't take any truck from NATO (essentially the US) whose foreign policy has been directly responsible for the deaths of millions of men, women, and children around the world. Russia has also been a huge power between the rapidly developing BRICS nations (which has more economic clout than the G7) and which also contains some of the fastest growing economies in the world. BRICS countries are also moving away from the dollar for international trade - stopping another method for the US to exercise control over their economies. When you look at the US leadership, the UK's leadership, the EU's leadership, and the leaders of the individual EU countries, the only beacon of hope is Viktor Orbán in Hungary. It's not difficult to see where Putin's popularity stems from.

I kinda liked this but then it went all down the drain with Yeltsin being a barely functional alcoholic. How do you have someone who topples the largest nation in the entire world and the second biggest superpower, and then topples even a very real Communist military coup with the military, cabinet or government, and then the ruling member in house arrest and after that centers the people and the power around himself essentially stealing the microphone from Gorbachev. The man was the second coming of Lenin to be real, not a barely functional alcoholic. It's also sad to see matter how much Yeltsin co-operated with the west and the Chicago boys or essentially selling stuff or selling everything to the West or private individuals they still devalue Yeltsin essentially with a hoe like stigma of being a weak alcoholic. Don't really see anything more narcissistic than that to smear someone as just "weak barely functional alcoholic" and whenever Yeltsin is talked of it's brought up. It's simply put just a western stigma essentially and nothing more. It's like barking at someone being a weak nerd. Sure people drink alcohol in eastern countries, but you barely if ever hear it from any other Russian leader of being "a weak alcoholic" tho they drunk heafty amounts more than Yeltsin. Stalin got drunk every evening at some point, but you barely if ever hear about it. Brezhnev was an alcoholic. It's not by just coincidence Lenin died young. They all were before and all are still, perhaps just a bit less.

Its not about Democracy or Autocracy or Dictataor, its about singlemindedness to continue and maintain the tradisional values of motherland. That is important. To lead. UE,UK,Canada and US dont bother about leaving the tradisional values. Go ahead, dont expect others to follow you blindly, dont regret. A singleminded President, in Russie, is likely to maintain the tradisional values. Many Presidents from Democracy, multipolar mindedness, will change, the values. Good example is UK, US,EU and Canada.Check who is charge of UK now. Very soon UKnistan or Francenistan or Germanistan. Good luck to the them, so much for your Democracy. Ask the tradisional English, they will tell you,how valuable a single minded President is. Think, before it is too late.

Ivan ужс beat his son to death with his bare hands, and Peter the Great had his son flogged to death. With antecedents like that Putin is a mere amateur.
