I feel like some people try to say the most inflammatory things to get more views. I imagine those overweight guys in the panel are much better friends and fathers than the guys with the arrogant statements.

I was 6'1" and 480 lbs. I developed type II diabetes. I could sit down and eat an entire meal with seconds, and in 10 minutes later was hungry. A nutritionist helped to understand why. My cells were clogged with fat. So when I ate, my cells were looking for the sugar for energy. Because of the fat in my cells, insulin could not open the cell door to let the sugar in. So the body cells would start screaming for more food because they hadn't got any. This started the cycle of obesity. Since that time I have lost 200 lbs. I am around 280 now, and at 67 years of age, workout daily, with kettlebells, Bulgarian Bag, Steelmace, and heavy clubs. I also walk 2-3 miles a day. I continue to watch my diet and eat very clean. Education was the key to the success I have scene.

Your cells weren't clogged with fat. You clogged yourselves with fat. There was no external source making you obese it was a choice my friend. I'm glad you're a little skinnier now, but don't obfuscate the reason for your fat. Assness

Insulin resistance from fat overloaded cells is a huge issue. Mastering Diabetes (Cyrus Khambatta and Robby Barbaro) are genuine pioneers of reversing type 2 and living with type 1 by reversing insulin resistance. I don't advocate health or wellness people lightly but your story made me think of them.

Over weight people can be caused by 1- low self-esteem, 2- over eating can be caused by emotional injuries, 3- compulsive eating. No one deserves to be bullied. Encouragement will go further than shaming.

Interesting material. I remembered the words of my friend Mark Wildman, who once said (probably also in one of his episodes) that he maintains a balance between how he looks and how he feels; I liked it very much. Mark is a really big guy who doesn't have an Apollo body, but he has strength, he has shape, he has endurance - and that suits him. He maintains a balance where he eats what he wants and how much he wants, but does not lose his shape. Following his lead, not everyone has to have a divine appearance, because not everyone needs it to be happy, but the most important thing is to be in shape and healthy, but not focus on the level of body fat and a six-pack on the belly. I don't know if I accurately conveyed the meaning of Marek's words and philosophy, but if someone wants, they can look for it on his channel.

It’s hard for me to comprehend why people that were once a “normal” or healthy weight let themselves gain 50+ lbs. I’ve seen it first hand with friends. I weigh myself daily. If I even put on 5 lbs, I immediately adjust my eating habits to keep it in check. Exercise is ESSENTIAL. Kettlebells are incredibly simple to use with very effective results. That’s been my experience since using them in 2022. Your channel and content has been directly responsible for that. Thank you.

Define fitness industry? If you mean anything social media based, then ofc thats gonne happen. Literally just having any kind of social media is an absolute waste of time and not a reflection of what reality actually is. Im a gym rat, in there 5-6 times a week and I have NEVER seen any buff or fit dudes ever put down a big guy, in fact ive seen the complete opposite multiple times, gym bros love uplifting someone to change their physiques and improve themselves, we're just wired that way

Unless you have discovered the cure to world hunger, calories in calories out is the only way to lose and gain weight. It's about taking responsibility and being accountable for what you put in your mouth. The two body types are healthy and unhealthy. Joints don't care whether you are 130kg 8% or 40%. Weight is weight.

Myron Gaines- The individual in the Fit and Fresh T shirt is an interesting character for me cause I find inconsistencies in his stories. 1. Myron Gaines real name is Amrou Fudl. Amrou is born to Kenyan parents. 2. Myron/Amrou gives different ages for his birth. Sometimes he says 1987 other times 1990. 3. On thing that does check out on him is he was a member of the Northeastern University rowing team and is a graduate of Northeastern. 4. Myron/Amrou likes to talk about his employment at DHS (Department of Homeland Security) where he worked as an interpreter/analyst rather then in operations. 5. What really turned me off about Myron his behavior was when partner Fresh (Walter Weekes) got a his girlfriend pregnant and then Walter was stupid enough to have a text message conversation in which he demaded she terminate the pregnancy. Myron likes to talk about personal responsibility when it comes to weight but when his podcast partner Walter Weeke fails to execute sexual personal responsibility he starts to be inconsistent. As I like to say, don't talk the talk unless you are walking the walk or as Jesus said to the men who wanted to stone to death the woman who engaged adultery, let he who had not sinned cast the first stone. Be careful who you let access your mind and body as your soul will be compromised if you choose poorly.

Myron says some scumbag stuff and has largely relied on the work of Rollo Tommasi for his underlying ethos. Being crass and unapologetically direct is part of his brand. I don't spend my time listening to his content for many of the reasons you said however I do my best to interpret what is said and not how it is said when discerning for value.

I wonder what Myron would think of a 400-pound man walking down the street, not knowing that he was once 600 pounds after being bedridden for three years after a major accident, had to learn to walk again, and is doing everything he can to regain his health and fitness despite the additional challenges and stigmas intrinsic to obesity. I imagine he would instantly assume the man is an undisciplined burden to himself and society. Since he thinks shaming should be brought back, I would argue that shaming bullies must be included, then. Putting down others and building a brand off of it is evidence of a lack of discipline in thought, word, and action. Just sayin.'

Myron is a very low frequency person from the fit side. I would never want him on my team for anything. I'll talk on the main topic. In america we have resources for everyone and everything for many, many years. I'm 35 and at the age of 5 I was just a skinny little kid. At that time I was put in martial arts. No equipment was just traditional work outs. I have kept my body in the shape it's been in since it was developed. I didn't use any machine until I hit high school and they had a gym. I was able to lift and use any machine like nothing. I got into music, skateboarding, and video games. Stopped going to taekwondo and kept it up at home. Grade school by 8th grade My height stopped at 5'3 and my body weight always fluctuated 114-121 lbs. I'm ripped and skinny and can lift 400lbs if I want to. Around three years ago I had discovered steel maces, steel clubs, and kettlebells. Also my diet changed from omnivore to vegan. So the last three years of my life so far have been different. Nobody has to do what someone else tells them but eventually the body will. They need the people who will show them the love and the way while being considerate and there is always the right person for these things. People just need to be mindful that it's a different experience for others and not the same experience. People grow up in different lifestyles and learn to adapt to a new lifestyle that fits their liking on their own.
