Pussycat was a Dutch pop group from Brunssum in Limburg led by the three Kowalczyk sisters: Toni, Betty and Marianne. Other members of the band were Lou Willé (Toni's then-husband), Theo Wetzels, Theo Coumans, and John Theunissen. The band had four international hits in a row in the mid-seventies: Mississippi (1975), Georgia (1976), Smile (1976) and My broken souvenirs (1977) and then a series of hit singles in the Netherlands and Belgium. Mississippi was number 1 the Netherlands and in another 15 countries. 'Mississippi' achieved 22 gold records. It is estimated that "Mississippi" sold over five million copies worldwide. Most of Pussycat's songs were written by Werner Theunissen.

One of the best group singers ever in the world. I've been a crazy fan of this group during my younger days. I still love listening to their music till date. The three sisters are awesome singers and can be listened by all age groups even till this day.

Me four! As a Canadian I didn't have the privilege of hearing this group in the 70s - their music didn't reach the North American market. I discovered them in 2013 by chance. I'm so glad I did!

My brother was visiting Amsterdam just last week... Took videos of so many beautiful sights... Bicycles everywhere... The Dutch are unique, truly... Have always been a 'Pussycat' fan from the get-go... Brilliant musos...
i was born in 75, my brother bought this cd in 1999, thanks to him i come to learn of pussycats, smokie abba bellamy brothers lobo and so many great bands and artists, music of today cannot come close to the old music, genuine lyrics, melody and harmonizing. this kind of music just get ur blood pumping, and takes u away from this world to another planet of peace and serenity

I have not listened to these girls for a while. In lockdown I am listening again. I love their sound. It is there in all their songs: sad, regretful and sort of uplifting, all at the same time. Their voices are sweet with the youngest sister's voice so powerful.
I still play their music in my car. Timeless, excellent music and great voices.

A friend gave me a cassette of the pussycat songs when I was a kid in the early 80s. Those songs were priceless. I and my younger bro had this song at our fingertips,along with the whistling.
