I appreciate you being more vulnerable and playful with your art. I think art on KZread often feels performative- which can also be entertaining and fun- but it’s refreshing to see more of the “real” side of art. Art doesn’t exist without risk taking and experimentation. And just giving ourselves permission to play can be so freeing the therapeutic.
I would like more duck content and a final finale of your completed version. Thank you

Agreed the blue gingham is such a cute illustration.
I’d love to see the fully refined artwork of these sketches, love the duck with the blue pattern!
Yes! How you turn a sketch into a larger painting would be fabulous! 💖🌞🌵😷
I love these new videos. It makes the art more approachable and something that I can do and it’s still cute.

Art should be fun, not scary!
These are so cute!!🥰Thank you for being real and taking us with you on your journey!
Love seeing your thought process🪿 I would like to see this duck in painting
I'd love to see a finished piece using these ideas! We'd get to follow the process start to finish.
It's the best compliment when your child recognizes the correct animal. You know your drawing needs work when your child calls your dog picture, a cow. 💖🌞🌵😷

I love the duck with flowers :)
Really love the duck with gingham pattern. It would be a lovely painting, I think especially for a boy's room as it is not too girly. Look forward to seeing you turn it into a painting soon. 😊
Yes, make a large painting. So adorable. Love to see your decorating.

I am so delighted by this video. Seeing mistakes gives me hope when I sit down and look at a blank page, paralyzed because I know I'll mess it up. It's ok to make a mess. And I adore your doodles of everything, even animals! I never knew a duck could be so easy!!! I appreciate your efforts in these videos.

Messes can be fun too!
Hi Shayda!! Yes, please, would love to see a full picture of “Duck” come to life for Sully!! Love the Blue Gingham Duck!! But not the horizontal grass, think it’s the colors? Would be cool to see light green grass with little yellow and tiny red flowers (your ideas are great)! Oh!! And maybe the cutesy border from Duck 2? Cannot wait to see your new studio !! BTW - I love these videos where you share your talents and talk thru your thinking and process of bringing your ideas to life!! “Duck” is GREAT!! Love hearing about Sully!!

Wow, thank you!
I like this style of video because we can see your thought process and it's almost like we're sitting together in the craft room just talking about what we're doing. I liked the gingham background but also the flower one. Could also look cute with half gingham and half flower with a red flower and the yellow background?
Oh yes! I love the one with the gingham sky. Would love to see this done in acrylic

Even though red is my favorite color, I like the blue plaid, basic duck and grass for a little boy's room. 💖🌞🌵😷
Yes I would love to continue this process
I love to see you experiment and see your proces❤ It looks so fun and just seeing you go and play makes me want to do the same! I am so perfectionistic but I feel these types of videos can help me just go for it. Thank you so much!!!

It can be hard to let go and have fun, I can definitely be a perfectionist :P
Big painting process would be cool. Thanks for sharing you different stages like you say in the intro to the video. 🌿
These are so cute! A tutorial on a larger painting would be great! Looking forward to your home content too! 🙂
A lot of us are only at the level of simple basics like this. We don’t all have the talent and ability to do anything more complicated. This is why I love your channel. So many tutors are serious artists which is pretty off putting for those of us who just can’t achieve that level.
Would love to see you turn it into a larger painting!! 🪿

So, I watched this video a couple of days ago,I was impressed but not overly so... today I'm going down a rabbit hole of color theory and composition and it hit me how deceptively simple and valuable this lesson is. Thanks for the tips add reminder to play.❤❤❤ 😊
I really love the gingham sky drawing. This would make a great painting. Maybe have the grass with flowers pattern , too.

These are super cute. I love that you're doing really basic and simple art. In an area that alot of people focus so much on high skill and detail and a nice breath of fresh air and reminder that its ok to go back to basic. And its ok to just enjoy art and not worry too much about what others are doing. It's a big reason i love your channel. thanks Shayda!

now i understand why mine felt complicated, i would just focus on too much details rather than the whole idea of simple figure which resembles a duck well. was trying out drawing a duck in my sketchbook and tried to make the feet exactly same which i couldn't :P Thanks for simplifying the process Shayda, very helpful as always :) PS: i'd love to see this turn into a bigger painting, go for it !!

I really love your new style of video making. Really like ducks, my husband calls me eendje (its ducky or little duck in Dutch). Would love to see you make a full painting of one of the cute ducks. The gingham pattern (is this the way you write that word?) is my favorite.

I like to see you using brighter colors now. You seem happier. I'd have to say I like the upper right one, the yellow/pink combo. I'd love to see you flesh it out.

if your marker is dying and you only need a little bit more... Get a very small dish of it's liquid (water for washable markers, rubbing alcohol for permanent) and dip the point of your marker into the liquid like you would if you were using a dish of ink. Dip and draw, dip and draw, dip and draw. Usually, there's still a lot of pigment left in a dried out marker and this method works really well. I usually get tired of dipping, but it gets me through until I get the convenience of a new marker. P.s. you can pull the tip out of the handle of some markers and pour it's liquid into the handle. (Do this on a marker that is on it's way to the trash as I've crushed the first few tips I tried.) If you can't remove the tip and the cap is airtight, try adding a bit of it's liquid to the cap and replacing... since the tip is dry, it will absorb it's liquid. (Surprisingly, some caps are vented and won't hold liquid.) Again only try these hacks on a marker on it's way to the trash until you know what works for your marker and always test on scrap paper first. 💖🌞🌵😷

I know for myself as a fellow artist I was wondering if you ever took a step into the junk journaling world? I bet your artistry gifts would really bring out some wonderful keepsake memorial types of journals❤ Just wondering.... if you haven't I think you should search junk journals and check them out because I think you would really bring some special gifts to that world🥰⚘❣
