Empty cloth it some if it’s Fuckin with ya is my advice. Going in the cam has to scar the bearings but you never see it.

    Not bad. LS3’s can take a lot of power when tuned right and have the proper octane. That blower can produce even more. My D1X (D1SC before that) setup lived at 980rwhp for years until I recently sold everything to go twins and Dart block.

    So for a daily what is the most up mark +/- that the stock trans stock converter will take? I finally have all the litte stuff sorted out on my 2010 and the engine is next on the list. I don't want her to beat everything on the street I just want a really fun toy I can take trips in. I've heard all kinds of different #'s but your opinion I trust the most.

  • @cjcoleman7372

    @cjcoleman7372

    Жыл бұрын

    @Kelvin Mcgee well from what I've found out, is that the stock converter is known to go bad around 100K miles. So regardless of what you do to it, that needs replaced. The #'s I keep hearing range from 700-800 hp and will live happy'ish. It just depends on how hard on her you are or will be. Basically, there are no clutch dumps or down 3 gears and punch it, etc. This is also dependent on the transmission tune and how harsh the settings are. I was basically told build it for 800 hp and tune it for 700 hp.

    A budget rotating assembly is alot different than a stock rotting assembly. Not all ls can easily do 1000 wheel on stock bottom end this is an internet myth. There are more that can't reliably than there are that can. Also the ones that do almost always go in and add ring gap and other tricks that help them handle boost better. You can't just throw boost one a stock engine without touching it and easily do a reliable 1000 wheel i would not consider that "safe" most of the time.

    @kevinreyes199898 the modern 2650 tvs is very efficient they don't have heat soak problems if you have an adequate cooling setup...they make way more torque than a centrifugal and are arguably more fun on the street it just depends on what you want out of it but the 2650s can move out and they don't have significant heat soak issues.

    @@KEVSZR1you can heat soak a centrifugal blower too it just isn't as much of an issue but you can Def heat soak one. I don't think it's accurate to say "no heat soak"

    The ls3 can handle over 1000 hp all day long. IF you gap the rings. IF you don’t then it could break way before 1000 hp

    as in stock rods etc? i gapped rings/bearings, got a nice big cam and a maggie heartbeat 2300 but still think it be safer around 800hp (700whp) isnt stock block at 1000hp pushing it abit?

    The thing with these engines is that the more mileage the more gap is getting created on the piston rings so you can crank up the boost. 3k oil change intervals , always good octane fuel and alcohol youd be fine
