B-18's incident report: "On Wednesday, May 1st at approximately 2:52 PM, the Independence County Sherriff's Office requested assistance with an ongoing pursuit. A deputy attempted to stop a black 1998 Dodge Dakota with Mississippi license plate MH2120 for driving left of center on State Highway 230 with 3 occupants in the vehicle. During the pursuit, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and driving erratically. When the vehicle reached the intersection of State Highway 25 and State Highway 87, the driver made a left-hand turn onto State Highway 25 towards Heber Springs. I stationed my patrol unit at the intersection of State Highway 25 and Stubbs Drive facing southbound in an attempt to intercept the pursuit. Once the vehicle passed me traveling southbound, I took over as lead in the pursuit. I caught up to the fleeing vehicle and attempted to position myself to perform a tactical vehicle intervention (T.V.I.). When I got into position to perform the T.V.I., the driver of the vehicle slammed on his brakes abruptly in an attempt to disable my vehicle. I then got back into position and performed a successful T.V.I. maneuver. The suspect vehicle spun around and made a second contact with the front right passenger side of my vehicle causing minor damage to the front right quarter panel of my unit. The vehicle then left the roadway to the right and rolled over onto its side. After the vehicle was disabled in the roadside ditch, deputies were able to place all 3 occupants into custody. Suspects Hargo and Liles were transported to White River Medical Center by Survival Flight for injuries sustained when the vehicle overturned. Keehn was taken to the Independence County Sheriff's Office by Independence Deputies. The Independence County Sheriff's Office is filing charges against Hargo. The charges include FLEEING-VEHICLE-54-125, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT-5-13-204, and RECKLESS DRIVING-27-50-302."

Trooper had to travel a fair way..wow..you areas remind me of my district here in New South Wales New England area Australia,so green..haven’t got frosts yet generally get them after Anzac Day ..been raining since..shocks me when sometimes in winter pipes have frozen at minus 10degrees celcuis with frosts..

Absolutely fantastic intercept footage just for the rare sighting of a trooper having to come to a literal *complete stop* in a construction zone before carrying on. Real connoisseur stuff. Thanks for all your hard work, NST!! EDIT: also interesting to note the on screen "siren" graphic not in-sync with the actual data. First time I recall seeing this!!

Mixer truck going across the dam 5:38....Razorback Concrete....i painted tbe hogs on many, many, many, of those drums through the years and their cement plants. One side right side up, the other side upside down so i wouldnt have to move my scaffolding. Had to have the nose forward and down a little to look like it was rooting. Good to see it in a video even if just a few seconds....good memories. RIP Charlie G.

So annoying watching the other cars continuously moving and blocking the way after seeing and hearing the police lights and sirens!

It may be that Local PDs are not certified, trained, or sanctioned by the state to perform the TVI. Either way it is great to see interception and quick end by the ASP. STAY SAFE OUT THERE TROOPERS AND local LEOS.

I do believe I have seen some of Heber Springs during one of your drive-alongs. Some of the murals on the sides of the buildings caught my eye as Trp. Haley drove thru. Those roads are mesmerizing as he drove along, very curvy and smooth! Didn't take the trooper long to get the truck pitted and it sounded like a rough rollover. Hope the LEO's were okay. I was just thru Heber last week. Growing up east of that area. A lot of stuff has changed. The lights on the dam. Can get backed up for sure. Just like Northfork Dam. They are working inside the dam.

All I can say is, Joshua Haley did a great job here. But was there anybody closer to respond to this? He traveled an awful lot of miles just to catch up to the perpetrator. Maybe somebody closer could’ve helped him out. I don’t know if the department has that many people in the area, but he did travel along way to catch up with this guy.

Maybe just staying out of the way? Who knows how this is going to go. Are they going to close the road? Just south of there was Wolf Bayou which would have gotten you around that mess without having to worry about getting stuck in the middle of a police scene. I probably would have flipped a u-turn and gone around too.

I watch when there is a pickup truck.

The Trouper's vehicle needs a bigger rubber band the 4 or possibly 6 cylinder does not have much punch. Finally reached 95 on a long straight away!

Trooper wasn't giving it all it had plenty of videos with ASP Ford Explorers going well over 100 MPH

How does a trooper decide that the intercept can be made? In this video the trooper was at least 20 minutes away.

I’m okay with a little build-up, but this one could have had 5 minutes chopped off the front-end.

Do those Fords have the 3.3 or 3.0 Turboboost because I'm not impressed. The 3.0 turboboost were found to be faster than the Chargers in test conducted by the Michigan State Police every year but in other videos I've seen with Chargers and Fords involved together, it's the Chargers that are faster.

I have grown fond of the cheesy theme music, the low-rent graphics, and whatever skyline is that title-page background.

We went 15 MINUTES before we found a Nissan that didn't get out of the way. Great driving citizens in pulling over as soon as possible to get out of the way.

Why don’t ASP TROOPERS wear body cameras ?

Dear NST, You could've saved us a LOT of time by editing out 20 minutes of rural racing to the black pickup, just to see it get pitted AND THEN no other footage of the rollover from a desired viewpoint! On a different note, why didn't the trooper's info bar at the bottom of the screen indicate that the siren was ON?

Great TVI, Trooper Haley! Haley needs to turn his car around and point his dash cam at the scene of the action (accident). Watching just an empty road is very boring.
