Pureed fava beans “Ful Medames” with tahini - you won’t believe it all started with a can
Fava beans are one the most famous street food in Egypt usually served for breakfast more than any other meal. I am sharing with you the fastest and easiest way to make a delicious pureed fava beans with tahini and olive oil. You can have it as a dip or in a sandwich (pita bread) they are both as good.
Ingredients:
2 cans of plain fava beans (400 g per can)
Very small onion, quartered
1 small tomato
2 garlic cloves
Approximately 1/2 liters of water
3 tablespoon tahini
3 tablespoon labneh or sour cream
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 garlic clove
3 tablespoon olive oil + more to drizzle on top
3/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne
