- Oud & Lute - King of Instruments -
The origin of the oud belongs to the ancient times and similar instruments were used by the Babylonian and ancient Egyptian. Until today, oud is played as the "king of instruments" in Arabic culture.
The oud found his way to Europe in medieval times and it became "lute". During the Renaissance the lute was also regarded as the "king of instruments".

I am deeply grateful for your insight. It actually took me more than 20 years of hard work before I could play in this way that listeners react as they do now. There are many people who ask me about my instruments or lessons with me. But I am skeptical whether they are willing to make so many sacrifices...
just brilliant. this music is so stirring, it is a captivating story. sometimes it feels like my heart is being pulled along thin threads of hope and sometimes the music reaches to the edges of my memory, to loss, to grief, waaaay into the past and long in the future. it spirals into each emotion and just as quickly leaves, lightens and changes scene. it is breathtaking. i follow the phases and movements with such excitement and peace. as a dancer, this music frees movement from the depths and i always find myself inspired to dance. i practice massage and play this music as accompaniment. often my clients ask who is this playing, or what instrument is this. i always send them the link. thank you so much for sharing this. i appreciate your effort, bravery and determination for playing this instrument in the ways that move the soul so fully. i very much wish you a long, healthy life and the ability to play until your final moments. you truly have the gift of telling the universal tale of life.

I can’t tell- does this Oud have frets? I’m a classical guitarist for many years. Thinking of getting an Oud. But maybe a fretless one. Definitely nylon strings.
It works magic in the hands of a Japanese
