I don't expect to ever own a Hermes bag. That doesn't keep me from thoroughly enjoying videos like these. It's like sharing the joy of a friend who just bought a nice present for herself. No need to justify it.

You seem to spend a lot of time rationalizing and justifying this purchase when in reality you owe no one any explanation. Life is short, live and enjoy yours. None of us will leave this earth with a penny ...so what you do with your money is your business.

Penileola agree BUT I love the opinion from a “real person”. She is super down to earth and I love how she reminds people that you can be a regular person + get a luxury item + don’t buy something that gets in the way of paying for life. So far my favourite reveal of a birkin.

Never be afraid to talk about your accomplishments. Buying a Birkin is definitely a milestone. I'm sure you saved and worked very hard to purchase it. Even if you didn't have to, it's your money not ours. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Your bag is beautiful! Please don't feel the need to explain yourself! I have 4 Birkins and 1 Kelly and I am in love. 3 are 35's and 1 is a 30. My Kelly is a 32. So glad you got the 30. The 35 is too big and heavy. Humm... I think I may sell my 35's. FYI, You mentioned you are going to purchase an insert. Unfortunately, my inserts do not shape my bags well enough for storage. I take mine out and stuff the bag when I'm not using it. You will see when you get one. Also, your bag comes with 2 rain coats. You can always take one out and keep it at home. Just an idea so you can eliminate some weight in your bag. Another FYI...Be careful if you hang the lock from the hook. I did that on 3 of my Birkins and when I carried them the lock would swing and it rubbed against the leather leaving a mark. I sent them to the Hermes spa and they did rub some of it out. It's now only noticeable if I point it out to someone. Another idea, when you travel with your bag bring the dust cover. When you go through airport security put your bag in it before you put it in that dirty gray tray! I also keep my bags in the dust bag when I place it under the airplane seat in from of me. Who knows what is on those airplane floors. So enough of my ideas and suggestions! I just get so excited to see someone with their first Birkin. Eventually you won't be so overprotective of your bag. I was that way when I first got mine. Now I just flop them around without thinking and nothing has happened to them. Yay! Enjoy that bag girl...you deserve it. And congratulations on your baby! I just got the gold in a 35. I have the 30 in black. Both are awesome! I was offered the gold in a visit to a boutique I’ve never been in before, they never even asked my name. I asked if they had one and yes they did!!! I was a tad hesitant about the 35 but it is perfect in every way. Good luck on getting yours!!!

It’s beautiful! Gold Birkin PHW was my first Birkin. I got mine pre-loved. I now wish I would’ve gotten the GHW but it is what it is. I’ve since bought another one pre-loved and my last one from the store. So that’s 3 Birkin’s and I LOVE them. I got a Kelly recently and I think I might like better because of the strap actually. I feel like I don’t use my Birkins as much because I’m overly protective. Get your yourself an organizer ASAP to protect the inside. Also get your twillies to protect your handles. Enjoy it and to many many more ❤️

Thank you so much for posting this video. There are so many videos on YT that give advice on how to "score" Hermes bags that seem helpful but I honestly feel they're vulgar. I share your attitude and I hope that a Birkin is in the cards for me as well. I love the design and I too appreciate the utilitarian side of the Birkin. You made a good choiceI have the 35 Birkin and it's heavvvvy but I love it! You should consider the Kelly 28 bag. The Kelly has a strap and its a great bag. I use both Kelly and Birkin for different reasons on different days but will say the Kelly is lighter and really a bag you can use all the time. It's all about how you are dressed and where you are going. My thoughts are you can use your bag with anything you wear and take it wherever you like. I have never carried the rain accessory in my bag bc it's just (for me) added weight. Of course if there is a downpour you just use a different handbag. Btw Hermes has bag straps you can purchase for your bag (Kelly) that are wider than the strap that comes with the bag. I purchased one on a trip to Paris and really use it a lot on my Kelly. Enjoy your beautiful bag and use it often! I love your energy and your video was great! Thank you for sharing! ):

I have that color combo in my K32. Love it. My B35 is heavy but I love a big bag. I have a Mai Tai insert which is very nice but I use my 7RP’s for both 99% of the time. The quality is outstanding and fits inside the K/B perfectly! I agree, you spent way too much time explaining why you( your spouse) spent YOUR hard earned money on YOUR bag. Don’t sweat it! 😊

Thanks for this. I didn't at all feel like you were braggadocious.
