Yes, etoupe is a lovely neutral too... my sharing was based on what I found on the internet and Sotheby's website.

Great video, you did all the research for us. I think Hermes is not for me since I don’t like babying my bags, my bag should not be wearing me so too many things to think about when using it.

I totally agree! And you don't have to baby your Hermes bag, just enjoy it like any other bag that you would own. It's just for those who want to resell their bags as an investment that they need to keep it in pristine condition. Thank you for sharing!

I don't baby my bags. Period! If i purchase one, i use it. I am currently wearing a Birkin 30 and have used it daily for the past 3 years. Its Clemence leather and has held unbelievably well! I recently purchased another and am sending the Birkin i am using to Hermes for "a spa conditioning"! I refuse to baby my bags.

I love your attitude! You earned it and deserve it. Ultimately the bags are meant to serve us, not the other way around...

I like your content, and thank you for the information you’ve shared. I want to mention though that as an equestrian who handles, uses, cleans and conditions leather multiple times per week, what you are saying about avoiding touching it with hands, and only letting Hermes spa clean and condition it, is anathema to the roots of the brand. They were a harness and sellier originally, after all. I’ve owned Hermes saddles as well and they are some of the most hard wearing of all French made high end saddles. They’re exposed to all the elements, plus sweat, dirt, hair, all kinds of grime and the stresses of being THE safety equipment to control 1200lb. + animals. I don’t discount what you’re saying about the handbags from a resale perspective, it’s just sad to think of these excellent quality, durable leather goods being reduced to such delicate creatures that they have to be wrapped in silk twillys in order for their people to use them.

You are absolutely right! If money wasn't such a big factor in these luxury bags, we should really enjoy them for what they are and regardless of dirt, stain and oils... they will still be beautiful. I totally get what you mean! Thanks so much for sharing and watching! xoxo

I think it's one of my favorite colors but I did get my items preloved and at a reasonable price... it can also be a challenge to match them with outfits as the blue jean color is not a neutral like navy blue would be. Thanks for asking! xoxo

Purple is my thing. And the perfekt purple i have only seen once on preloved Market on eBay. I bid on it and won But the sellers refused to sell to me because she had wanted more money for it. It was an action. She got blocket by eBay

I dont think that purple pops up so easy. Many persons that buys Hermes buys colors that are also easy to sell further on and purple in this shade is not one of the popular ones. And it is this one or none.

Does rose gold make étain look darker?

haha yes, you're right... but at least you have all the additional Hermes goodies... if that's what you like. I still don't have mine but do admire the craftsmanship.

This is pretty dumb to say that you would make 200-300% “profit” when you all know if you are playing Hermes game you will have to spend more than 1:1 on all kind of things in Hermes to get the offer to buy the bag!

You are absolutely correct all these people believe they are doing investments in Hermes bags when in reality their “investment “ was not just the bag but all the items they had to buy to get offered a bag….except if you get one in Paris

From an economical standpoint, day to day life could be hard on a purse… do I wear a 200. Bag everyday, to work or do I wear a 10k bag. Once you scuff a Berkin on an elevator door or a railing or slam it slightly trying to get out of a car… it is not free to repair…sooo *hotdups*

There's nothing wrong with counterfeit fashion products, as long as they're not fragrances, and as long as they sell for significantly less than the actual product from the manufacturer in question. *hotdups* bags are awesome. Prices are all around $150.

There are plenty that sell on secondary market, Sotheby's, Fashionphile, The Real Real... you can have a browse and see if you find something you like.
