Pundit Nirmal Maharaj would take the prize for best ever rendition of the Holy Ramayan!! I dare anyone to do better!! Soul stirring singing accompanied by soul touching music. Marvelous harmonium!!

I don’t think there is anyone alive and that includes India also to equal Pundit Nirmal in Ramayana Singing .Everytime I listen I must start to cry and I don’t really know why.I first heard him around 1963 as a child when my Aja used to play the Big Record.

❤ best rendition of tulsikrit ramayana,no one has reached this level .Made around 1965,I was 11yrs old,listening to lp since childhood.My kakaa Pt Nirmal.

My very dear Brother Shyam, I'm sure you will appreciate and hold dear to your heart what is written here. By 1964 this record had already reached London England, and he was highly praised for his discipline, knowledge and devotion. He was held up as an example to the Hindu Society in London. The speaker at the function was the esteemed mathematical physicist, lawyer and teacher Dr Rudranath Capildeo. He taught at University College,London. Lessons from a Mother to her "Sona" --- SEWA . Not many may know Pundit Nirmal Maharaj was a philanthropist. Aarati offerings and offerings of his Ramayan yagnas were often given to those who were unable to pay for medical treatment , or to those who needed help for other reasons. He gave with head bowed, palms together and humility. Sabka swami ek Ram hai . Jai Shri Ram

For instance,he was very dedicated to the rebuilding of the Riverside (Curepe) Kuthia. He organized Chautal groups and other events to help raise funds for the sacred cause. He was a motivating force. At such times he knew neither tiredness nor hunger. This was the life and is the legacy of Pundit Nirmal Ramsaroop Badri Maharaj, grandson of a Pundit from Uttar Pradesh -- Pundit Ramsewak Tiwari Jai Hanuman

I will soon be uploading Side 3 and Side 4 of this Ramayan Katha. Pt. Nirmal devotion and melodious rendition had the ability to take one into "Rama's Journey". My fondest memory of the late Pt. Nirmal was in the very early 80's. I was just at the age of 3 before his passing. He performed a 9 night Ramayan Katha at my relatives in Park Street San Fernando. His legacy and voice will always live on.
