A COUPLE OF WEEKS !! .As a solo boater, mine lasts 6 weeks. My holding tank is a fairly modest 200 Litres. I think the number of people regularly using the toilet is the biggest factor. If I were having a boat built, i would spec a 500 Litre tank.

I thought blue was a chemical that helps to brake down the waste and not to be used as a rinsing agent so thanks there as it seems expensive, also I thought that all toilet tanks would have a ventilation pipe for gases to escape. Does air replace waste so not sure on having to close the rinse out on pump out. I have also been told about carbon filters and so I'm lost now. Any advice for me would be great

What's the system that incinerated the waste that's not a composting toilet or cassette toilet? I get the impression that the system I'm asking about uses the gas to burn the waste.

If you are on a Marina do you need to move your boat the pump out area, to use the pump out system you described ? or does it extend to your mooring ?? Thank you

Great series of videos. Can I suggest that you pause the dialogue when the trains go by?

Hi Mandii, We try our best to stop the dialogue when the trains do come past, unfortunately they are very unpredictable.

The noise is a busy railway near the marina.

+K Welton we have since bought a better microphone which blocks out the trains - this is one of our older videos which picks up the train noises unfortunately!

I take it there is no gage to indicate whether it's full or not, or do some boats have one?

If you cannot determine the level in the tank visually and there is no gauge. You can buy a cheap one that only lets you know when the tank is full, or spend a bit more for one that tells how much is actually in the tank. I recommend that approach.
