It was a team effort but it felt great. Apparently if the ducklings don’t get to water quickly the don’t all survive the first few hours

Is it worth a thick bead of sealant around the inside of those skin fittings before you nip them up? Can never have too much sealant! Nice work from John the Duck Whisperer.

Hi James - what make of bit did you use to drill the skin fitting holes? Seen / heard various stories of hole cutters blunting and taking 3 - 4 cutters to get through the steel. Yours seemed to be crewing away nicely at the steel! BTW i'm an avid viewer of your vlogs (I was watching the asound proofing one earlier today!) Gone back to the this one becuase I remembered you putting the skin fittings in! Great reference material :-) Thanks

Cheers for that Mike It was a 30mm bit for those particular fittings. They should have a bit of wiggle room as the nut tightens it anyway and then whack in a hefty portion of silicon to ensure it’s all sealed. Don’t over tighten too much either if you have a brass one Cheers

It's the CRT who don't want the contents dumped in with the general 'household' waste. You can't put them in the Elsan tanks either, as you do with a standard cassette toilet.

There is a fan to help with the composting process. It sucks air through the toilet outside through a small fan and pipe

Lovely community you’ve got at the wharf 😁 think you’ll miss them and things like the duck rescue when you do move on, a shame it’s so far from where you need to be in the long term
