Lakey. Your surfing in this clip is the best ive seen you do. sometimes its obvious where you are trying to go with your surfing. And it can look like you're trying too hard. But you got there with this clip. Flow, speed and style! You could beat every WSL surfer.. male and female if you could bottle this into your heats! Keep it up!

❤ you were looking perfect on that new yellow slightly thicker board. so fluid, and without any unnecessary bounce, lag, or drag. that tail suits for those waves and your maneuvers that day. very snappy. that board looks smooth and totally on the water surface, and able to navigate the lips and foam, and other wave areas, with continued momentum, while still very high performance and agile. you were ripping. the board colors look cool, yellow rails, pink text, blue fins text. so very proud of you! :)

amazing surfing ! it seemed like on the back side bottom turns the board jumped a little bit wasn't completely smooth but who am i to talk haha you're ripping !

Hey Lakey. Would love your advice on this one… What is the single best at home training you can do to build paddle fitness? I only get to surf once a fortnight and am always time poor, so need some ‘at home’ options rather than gym-based. I don’t have any elaborate at home fitness machines but will buy some basic kit like weights if that would help. I cycle lots for cardio but how do I strengthen the paddle?? Gooooood luck at the surf ranch, you will smash it!!

Great surfing, fun couch talking! Well I'm quite aware I will never surf as good as you do, and I don't mind, but I do know that once I started surfing on small fishes and all sort of twinnies, my surf got so much better and so much more fun. Don't you think that if pro surfers did that more often your surfing would gain a little something else, to differentiate from the bread and butter of most competitive surfing done today? Now go and win that trophy in the pool!

Good point. I play around with Twin fins in the off season but need to be in tune with all my short boards during the comp season
