Pulling Bulls Off Cows

It's time to start taking a few bulls off of cows and heifers as we wind down towards the end of the breeding season! Also we get to take Ivy along and go put out some mineral.

Thanks for the ride today. When you roll a bag it becomes like a tree light and will burn better. Your such a smart rancher.

Love the shout out for the hoof GP he does amazing work, and watching him as helped me with sheep and goat trimming and the occasional mini cow, and even to some degree helps with my horse trimming work. even though the feet are very different.

Your one bull seems to have a bit of a too runny poop issue. Watching this made me miss riding so much. Your living the dream.

An old man I worked for in jr high taught me the same thing with the bags. He would burn them out by his barn in a barrel and said it burned better doing it that way. 🤠💩🤷‍♂️ Those dang bulls will find a tree out in the middle of nowhere just to piss you off.

Do you use garlic in your mineral? Trying it this year, think it’s helping.

I'm curious why you don't leave the bulls on. Is an open cow better than a late bred to sell? I have so much to learn

Because bulls get aggressive after heats are over with and that can lead to injuries and dead cattle ..and as he also said, the incoming female heifer calves will be the bulls own daughters and you don't want inbreeding with any animals because that can lead to poor meats if that what you r raising them for or attitude or developmental issues if you're showing
