This place is ancient and packed with charm. We need an old Italian person to interpret the use of the spaces.

I think the first apartment can be turned into bedrooms and nice bath. Area notte. Then the more regal apartment is kitchen, family room, studio and that old kitchen turns into a bathroom.

This place is fantastic! It does induce a nostalgic reaction, as Fiorella stated. I would combine the 2 apartments into one, with the kitchen, dining, and bedroom in the first apartment. Expand the tiny bathroom in the first apartment into full bathroom. I would make the 2nd apartment into a lounge and another bedroom. I would turn that funny little room up the short staircase into a full bathroom. So you would end up with a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Very cool!

Okay Fiorella, here's my emotional 2 cents worth response to seeing this house video. I love seeing inside buildings that have been empty for a long time. I agree with you on feelings of nostalgia. There's something quiet, intimate feeling about going through a space that's been closed up, that hasn't had humans through it for ages and time and dust has taken back. A feeling like time has stopped here. The clock no longer matters. With some houses I see that have been untouched or unchanged for ages, part of me feels I dont want to change it. I tell myself I would live there for a while (at least) just quietly noticing the 'vibe' of the place. Making minimal changes for habitation, cleaning it, making sure the water, sewer and electrics were working and adding very little. I think with time though, the desire to fix and change, paint and renovate would come and that 'softening' (?) effect of time and no intrusion, would be gone. It's probably a weird thing to many people that some people enjoy the grey, stillness of a place ... perhaps it's something from childhood when I went exploring places that I probably 'shouldn't have' ? Those spaces have a wildness, similar to being out in nature.

This would be so much fun to renovare. It's also very easy to combine into one unit. The Juliet balcony looks like it connected them at some point. Also take out that really thin wall by the kitchen. Easy to do 2Bed/2baths out of this one.

This big Palazzo without bathrooms in either apartment. One tiny closet toilet for the entire building. Did residents use a public boathouse in the past?

That little nook at 10:51. Maybe they had a small chest of drawers there, which you could pull out and hide in there? 😆 🤣 😂. Back in the old days when there was always conflict. (Or when his wife comes home unexpectedly)

Im thinking $48,000.00 top price. Needs : 1)through Cleaning & Assessment. 2) some new windows, 3) very Dark, mirrors on inside window transoms 4) lots of stonework, masonry, cement work is needed. Plus Tile work. 5) Inside & outside doors, weatherproofed, paint? Polyeurethaned? 6) all wrought iron saned & painted. Thats only list one... Plus Plumbing & Electric. Well worth Renovating, especially if its made into one home, plus the basement & cantina, etc

I found it interesting that you asked for an emotional response to seeing this home tour. I thought it was a roller coaster. First second I saw the front , I knew it had been a grand home. and I wasn't disappointed. The tile in the parlor was amazing and totally restoreable. I assume that raised "kitchen?" was because of the vaulted ceiling in the cellar. I'd think it should be a really nice bath rather than a tiny kitchen though. The cellar was pretty cool as well. so much potential there. Emotionally I could see it as a finished grand and home again ,butI wish I was young enough to take on a project like that again. That place does need saving, but the neighborhood around it is a bit questionable. Would it be worth it? Like a roller coaster, my feelings were very up and very down on this one. but it is a great house, if the neighborhood was to come up along with it. maybe if one got done there would be others following. I just don't have that kind of time and my wife would nix that in a hurry. I'd have to see it in person anyway. but thanks for showing it.was the house everything that was matching brick? how many sq meters?
