PTE 21: The best combined techniques | Write from Dictation

The PTE Academic is an English test for university entrance (& visas, in some countries, including Australia). It’s also known as the Pearson Test of English. It’s similar to IELTS, but some people find it easier to achieve a high score with PTE (it depends on your skills). Master this test and you have a great chance of securing the university, the job and even the country of your choice. 😉

To write from dictation.... Have any of you tried writing the first letter of every sentence? Did it work for you? I think it's *really* difficult, but maybe some very clever people can do it. Try it, and let me know!

Thanks for providing a new creative way for WFD. But in some cases, it is difficult to visualize the sentences.😢

True. But maybe you are overthinking it? I really just mean that you should focus on the meaning of the sentence... don't try to memorise the first letter of each word or anything that takes you away from trying to remember the meaning.

Hi good day to you, Yesterday I did my PTE Exam, fyki summarized written text COPY PASTE is not available, we need to type the text, only in practice is it there, not in the main exam. Don't we get the detailed result? I didn't score for my requirement. Got L54, R57, S81 & W52 overall 58 is my score, in the reading module missed the last 2-RFIB & -MCS, and in LFIB not able to write and listen because the blanks are very much closer. If I had attended those four I might have cleared. Have used your templates, and got 2 SWT and 1 essay and 2 RL. Don't we get detailed test result, like each question marks

Thank you so much for the info! I think other test-takers will see it & learn from it. But... you wrote the name Nakul, so I wonder if you meant to write this to Nakul from Skills PTE Academic and not me?? Anyway, about detailed test results. 1. No, PTE do not tell you exactly what you got right & wrong BUT 2. If you go to your Pearson account dashboard (online), you can see a skills breakdown. You can use this to work out if your low writing score was because of your essay, for example. (If the skills breakdown shows low Extended Writing & Open Response Writing, for example, I recommend you re-think your Essay strategy).
