At this point I thought we would never get it back together. I was wrong. Once you get past the main shaft and under stand how the countershaft comes apart you will be flying.

Is there a way of knowing if you have 6 or 4 tab synchro rings without opening the transmission, I have a 2005 TJ and want to order the correct overhaul kit?

Not that I’m aware of. I tried to order my kit prior to splitting case and was told by everyone that they needed to know which one prior.

I think the tj was the best of the jeeps not from Chrysler but as a whole like the yj the CJ the tj was the best jeeps the jk and jl there nice but too many electronics to go wrong
