Pt.2 Polaris RZR 800 Top End Overhaul At D-Ray's Shop
Doin' a top end overhaul on a Polaris Ranger RZR 800. Air filter maintainence is critical on these machines, otherwise you get what we have here, worn piston rings. Thanks for watchin'. Part 3 will be up soon!

50 years a mechanic here very nice video D-Ray good job:) wish the younger generation take interest instead of computer games
That was a great way of showing the wear on the rings. Astounding how fast that dust tore the motor up.
One of the best most detailed videos on the proper way to do things. Awesome job!!!
Thanks for a great video. Currently overhauling top end engine on a 2014 Polaris 800 6x6.
I appreciate the details you are giving, Makes it very easy to understand how things work. Good Deal
Smashing Tutorial as allways :-) Ive had a gudgeon pin circlip fall into the engine before :-(, i had to take the engine out and wash out the big end area untill it fell out, not fun :-(, i quickly learnt the important rule of stuffing rags in step. Love that tool, easy and controlled, and the magnet is brilliant :-) Ive never seen a piston ring so bad, im amazed it even ran with the compression loss. Very enjoyable to watch an expert, thanks for recording it :-)
Thanks for the videos. Rebuilt my 08 rzr. Very easy with your help. Thanks again
amazing video from start to finish!
Such good quality video man. I love the sound a shop produces
Another good simple practice even on a top end rebuild is to pull the oil pan to clean it along with the oil pick up screens and remove any possible sludge . Easy and good insurance.
great vid mate i like the way you go in to depth about what you are doing (watching from down under)
Some off the best videos I've watched. Great job man.
Awesome video man. very easy to understand, thank you!
My Polaris Ranger 500 smokes bad AFTER I got it home from a used purchase and changed the oil. Like u said the oil before the change barely touched the dipstick. This video is about to be put to use all except I am carbureted.... Great Video DRay!
Thanks, still more yet to come!
Great job filming, instructing, and explaining as always. Real glad I found you on KZread. Your a clean and efflient tech.
Thanks, I was afraid the camera would'nt really show the end gap very well so that's why I used the cards. Really puts it into perspective! lol
cool thanks D Ray
Thanks! I was suprised at how quiet the engine ran, you'ld think with all that wear, It would sound like th' pistons were swappin' holes!
Thanks!
