💖The first one to get one of the meanings behind the pig mask. Ren's words in an interview: "he's like an uncomfortable companion that represents greed, my illness... He's been there for so long that he's also my friend in a way.... like an ominous character the thing that's always there with me on this journey".

Yeah like most artists, he was wowed at the theories and interpretations people came up with in regards to his art, including the pig and lyrics. He gave space for everyone to talk about it, he loved everyone sharing connections he never even thought of, before he shared his personal reason of his choice. I loved that he waited and I agree! No one I've seen react thinks the pig representative is a companion of pain/discomfort.

Great reaction. 👏👏You were so spot on about the message here. In Troubles (Official Music Video), his new song, Ren spreads an equally if not more important message to the millions of sufferers of illnesses like M.E. , Lyme, Fibromyalgia, etc. Hope to see you do that one soon. (The acoustic version doesn't have the same written message).

Ren has posted 8 video Chapters on his channel Renmakesstuff, where he reads the story he wrote of the 8 year nightmare experience of finding a diagnosis and treatment of his illness. Gut wrenching, and beautiful at the same time and meant to be a companion and story of hope for his community of chronic illness sufferers. He is fulfilling his promise made when he was at his sickest to not forget them if he ever got to the other side. Ren still has pain every day, brain and neurogical damage and suffers from MCAS and POTS. He can only eat 8 foods and takes 100 pills everyday, 15 meds and the rest supplements. But he is so much better and sees his illness in a different way now. And he can produce the beautiful music he was meant to .

A pastor is a shepherd. His purpose is to lead the sheep away from danger, not just identify the risk. What a wonderful canary Ren is!!! He is doing a masterful work at exposing and identifying the presence of evil in our lives. And I'm so very grateful that a voice is singing this with volume. Listen to his message. He absolutely identifies there is a problem but unfortunately neglects to recognize a solution. I'm sorry but I just don't see the solution for me, the guy going through it. What? Is it RELAX? Was that his profound solution? Take a deep breath and don't fight evil but embrace it? Unfortunately this very solution necessitates an attraction from evil. If you tell a robber not to break in today but wait til tomorrow and he can enter, what will the robber do? He is coming back. There is an answer. There is a solution to evil and it requires the opposite. We all fall short, but One. Look to Him.

@@BrianLawrence-vk3puNo thanks. I used to look to “him”. My dad still mlested me. He had so much guilt over it he turned me into his punching bag. I prayed I begged-nothing. I went to different family members, and they were too scared to help. My dad was powerful in our community. The people at school knew because I was covered in bruises. They did nothing about it. Too afraid of my father. Nothing, fcking nothing. I continued to struggle and survive. I’ve actually had a very sad existence. Every so often he would still find a way to beat me. I always thought I was safe because so much time passed. Nope, he beat me in front of my 10 year old son in 2016. I’ve been on psych meds since that 7th grade. I’ve done therapy. When I was in my early thirties I started getting sick. I’m chronically ill and in never ending pain. I’ve been sick for almost 20 years. I can’t get around anymore. Everything is a struggle. My body and my house are my prison. My beloved Crucifix came off my wall in 2017. I’m done lying to myself. Ren is real and provides me with comfort. God doesn’t exist. Oh, I’ve been dead three times due to my illness. There’s nothing there. It’s just dark and quiet, but not scary. Just telling you what I know. It’s not right to push religion on people. Someone with a life like mine might be hurt by it. ❤️✌️

While he is a real Freddie Mercury of our times, this message is mostly addressed to you, as I really want to thank you for your content, interpretation and being so darn genuine. It's strange to feel connected to your commentary and your reaction, it's like seeing another decent human who is not afraid to express what he is experiencing... something kind of rare nowadays. So, again, thank you for the content, will consume everything you've posted and promote you as much as I can. Hope you reach a lot more subs, you deserve it! I'm not even done with the video yet but I just have to say what I love so much about Ren is the awareness that he brings, especially to chronic illness. Unfortunately his story, while amazing, isn't that unique in the chronic illness world. He's beautifully unique, but his experience is unfortunately what most of us go through. When my illness first started to progress my parents were getting a divorce so everyone assumed it was depression and anxiety and medicated me like hell. My symptoms were constant infections, inflammation, all physical. Turns out I had a rare genetic disorder that caused my immune system not to function properly. I needed treatment desperately but I didn't get it for another 10 years. Every time it progresses (as it will continue to do) a doctor tries to tell me it's anxiety for awhile before they admit it. It's ridiculous. I was once told I was just "a tired mom"...I was partially paralyzed at the time and that was their conclusion. 🙄 It's a MESS and Ren's unapologetic awareness is everything. My youngest son inherited my illness and I'm so glad Ren's music will be there when he's older and struggling. Hopefully many will learn from people like Ren, from all of us who came before, and the future generations won't suffer the same way.

This is an attempt to show the problems he faced while being misdiagnosed and being given the wrong treatments. As the years went on his condition got worse not better, so having any faith in the medical system was hard. His new song "Troubles" is a more reflective look back at the whole picture to where he is now.

Being misdiagnosed by numerous doctors demonstrates how bad our health care system is when some medical professionals don't actually listen to the patient but look through a book and find the closest diagnosis based on general symptoms, nausea, inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, etc etc. this led many of us to be misdiagnosed as Bi-polar, BPD, mental illness of every kind, and years later, we are late diagnosed as Level 1 Autism and AuDHD. Then for years, we have to endure ABA which does more harm.

I recently tried to seek a therapist for the grief that was overtaking me, she immediately (no exaggeration here, it was 2nd sentence) said "i think we should put you on meds, tho i cannot prescribe them" (should have been my 1st red flag lol) but you canNOT go off of the meds for at least 1 year." Did i mention all she "heard" from me, was i have never dealt with grief without alcohol? She said i needed to go to meetings. You used the word Distorted, hit me like a sledgehammer! Everything i tried to tell this woman/therapist had her trying to pawn me on everyone else! "Go to AA, go see another shrink that I'll get a kick back from, get on meds, stat!! Wtf? In Europe they smoke personally rolled cigarettes more often than the states . It's cheaper in the long run because you smoke less when you have to roll everytime you smoke . Yes and due to that , people that DO smoke marijuana might add some to the cigarette . It's not as common in Europe as it is in the states to smoke marijuana straight ... as a joint or with a bong far more common to roll a ' blunt ' which is half tobacco half marijuana .

Having been in a State menttal hospital for six months and many psyche wards for shorter periods, I say Ren is a brilliant artist but has no mental health issues. You wouldn't believe the shit psychiatrists have said to me over the years. I don't do talk therapy these days, just meds. Ren is a genius at walking the tightrope, taking people into their unconscious fears and liberating them. But he's not crazy at all.

Then add in health care insurance who just dwindle around to approve or make you justify by filling numerous questionnaires why you need to see a specialist or a particular medicine. Generic? Even that isn't guaranteed. What happens when there is a medical shortage such as Ozempic? Why do more and more people including myself seem to get better access to services, treatments, diagnosis for issues that other doctors "didn't catch." Hmm.

I think a recurring theme with Ren is the optimist vs pessimist duality of his personality. I think this song and "Hi Ren" are to acts in the same play. "Sick Boi" is an earlier act, and "Hi Ren" was the crescendo. I think the reason his pessimistic side was so powerful and pervasive in "Hi Ren" was because it was so right her in "Sick Boi". You can see him trying to cooperate, trying to go along with the treatment. But they don't listen to what he says, and talk right past him. Dark and cynical Ren was right about them here, so in "Hi Ren" the theme is "What else is he right about?". But I think the Pig Butcher character is a little different from your explanation. I think the flashing to it is showing the contrast between light and hopeful Ren trying to be cooperative with his caregivers, and dark and cynical Ren seeing them as lying pigs. I don't think it's a comfort thing. It's showing the internal conflict between him wanting to trust them, but knowing they are wrong. And they were. There was no "Trauma effect", his mind was not making him sick. He had Lyme disease. And they were wrong. And dark and cynical Ren was right.
