As a diagnosed Sociopath with a few psychopath traits myself, I do appreciate this video actually, I never expect big channels to be realistic, but the descriptions over here are accurate. We can feel and suffer too, we can even love in rare situations. But we aren't robots as many people think, mostly in those videos of "abuse" and even movies/Series.

So you claim to be an ‘honest’ sociopath. That’s really a contradiction of the traits in itself. Sounds like you cross over with maybe bi-polar. Maybe you’ve just got your foot stuck down your throat. I guess either way you’re unfortunate , though probably a lot more unfortunate for those around you. I’d apologise for my harsh words, then again, why should anyone care about your feelings if you are a true sociopath with psychopathic traits then I doubt you deserve it.

I'm glad the video gave a positive reference to schizophrenia. There are so many bad references, combining psychopaths within the media. It's been done that many times it the references a lot of people have. It is audio-illustion and although this can be internal and external. Satirical so high in males, and can be erratic in the early years, with medication and support it mellows later in life. So it can be managed. Its quite a battle for the person experiencing this, partly its the prejudice that cause harm and is campaign for. Once the medication is right (which is often the hardest time), the life they lead will have many restrictions applied. So its not easy, for anyone in that situation 😕

The most evil thing on this planet is a human being. The most beautiful thing on this planet is also..a human being. Monsters are real....and they look like people...trust me, my father was a sadistic psychopath. He was a monster, no remorse, not capable of love or compassion, or empathy, nothing was off limits. @jesseedwards9021 unless you have ever experienced first hand please keep your ignorant comments to yourself. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I assure my husband offered this sick man(his father) nothing but love and forgiveness. He didn’t do a thing to make him hate him in any way. Quite the opposite! After years of being in prison the first time for murder, the second time for burning down his house with his wife’s dog in it we opened our home to him. A relationship my husband had longed for his whole life. A changed man so we thought. He talked to me about God, read scripture with me. I took him to doctors appointments, cooked, cleaned and just enjoyed his company. Meanwhile he was talking to my then 24 year old son and a friend of his making up lies about my husband. Telling them he was physically abusing me, raping me, etc. trying to convince them Alan deserved to die because of it. That just a brief look at all we have been through. The pain, manipulation, fear, etc. To say I’m glad this man is dead and out of our lives I would say absolutely! The destruction he tried to cause in just a few short months is unbelievable. We still suffer from it. We opened our door to Satan himself, loved him, fed him and clothed him. This poor sweet old man that had changed his ways… so we thought. You have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about. Human… this man.. absolutely not! He was flesh and blood but he was pure evil. What we lived through and are still coping with was something you see in a movie. Maybe before you open your ignorant mouth again you should get some more facts! Don’t ever accuse my husband or anyone else for that matter of such a ridiculous thing. We have been through a tremendous amount of trauma. An apology is definitely in order from you to my husband!

The psychopath has a disdain for everyone. No fuel needed. They fuel themselves. The frontal chambers in the brain are empty and dark. There is NOTHING to feel. So it's not supressed it's just not felt. Ever. The narcissist requires fuel to sustain themselves. There is an idealizarion phase where the victim is all good and can do no wrong. Once the golden period wears off, they're devalued. There is no idealizarion phase in psychopaths. They tell the victim they're just like them. Both good and bad. Always goal oriented.

I always take exception to media that claims these types are capable of love. They don't have the biological, physiological, or emotional components needed to experience or engage in love for others. Instead they translate and define physical acts as love. It also fails to mention the psychological and physical abuses they engage in when interacting with those around them. It seems to represent both types in only a positive light. Yet those who've been in relationship with one knows this is far from the reality that this video represents.

@@MarinSofin Very difficult question to answer and I don't think there is a single right or wrong answer because of it's complexity. Just my opinion, but one way I would describe it is that you desire to see anothers life, goals, happiness, be fulfilled. You are pleased and happy that they are happy and fulfilled in their life. There is much more around and about that, but at the core, you desire happiness and success for them because they are of great value and importance to you. As much as you value your own self. Sometimes even more, such as a Mother for their child. As in the case of the Texas Mother who was willing to sacrifice her own life to help save her children's lives during the recent school shooting that occures in Uvalde.

Thank you again for your answer I found it very educating.

@@MarinSofin This is why I would say it is much more complex than a single answer or description. I would agree that there is a spiritual sense to it as well. This is how many can know when a loved one is in danger, or even has died. There are attachments to ones soul that are not breakable except in death of one. Those are usually tied to blood relations but for some it can also occur in a romantic relationship as well.

  • @MarmaladeINFP

Besides an inflated sense of self, there is another trait that is common in the dark triad. It's sadism. Sometimes it's referred to as the dark tetrad, with sadism as the fourth trait. But since it overlaps with the other three traits, it's not distinct by itself and so usually left out.

I'm sceptical as to whether we should even use these labels. Wouldn't it be better to simply describe someone's behavior as psychopathic, rather than stamping someone with a label. Psychopathy is just a severe form of Antisocial Personality Disorder. Unless there is a neurodevelopmental factor. In that case things could get interesting. Because then Psychopathy falls under the same category as Autism and ADHD. It would be a Neurodevelopmental Disorder. Essentially that means the brain has developed differently due to genetics. Which also means we can only try to manage the condition. There's no cure. Psychopathy is very interesting. Although it does seem like everyone have their own ideas on what a psychopath is. If we should even use the terms anymore.

Sounds like fun to be a psychopath they don’t have stress or even deal with the emotional shit that people endure in their daily lives. Being a psychopath seems better off.

@@smonex9229 you don't have to kill in order to be a psychopath. Many psychopaths (on the lower end of the spectrum) live life normally, they just dont understand emotions of other people (empathy) and dont really care either. Killing isn't essential and, if you really were a psychopath, you wouldnt openly admit it like you wanted to world to know.
