She's beautiful! I saw the updated character models for the old characters in the PAX East demonstration, but the new characters are so expressive and interesting while taking design guidelines from the original game!

I'm a critic of details and i immediately loved her ear. I noticed the dark inside with the spiral. That's unique and I love small details like that on games that separate them from the norm and make it stand out but not look out of place

The great thing about Psychonauts is it’s timeless style. The original game still to this day looks absolutely fantastic. You guys really perfected that world. Can’t wait to play Psychonauts 2!

Dang, seeing the difference from 2017 to release is pretty interesting.

If it means putting out the best, most finished product you can, by all means take your time DoubleFine!

Please take your time. Don't feel pressured to release it early because of hype. Make sure it's great before you release.

Frazie looks amazing. I love all the circus-styled stuff. I'm glad it's not coming in 2018, because I want this game to be perfect.

played this game when i was 7 or 8 on my ps2 and i’m now 20 patiently waiting for this sequel. take your time! we know it’s going to be great.

Character designs are lovely. Campbell has really honed in on his style over the years, good job guys

I love you guys, but I never once thought a 2018 date was realistic. This update is also pretty serendipitous, I've been replaying Psychonauts 1 on my fancy new (old) original Xbox and have just been pouring over the vault memories, and its cool to see the rest of Raz's family fleshed out. I'm still impressed at how effective a series of static, monochrome images were at detailing that world.

Our office had a similar “searching KZread for the best fireplace video” moment last week 😁

you know how a lot of game companies have one or two developers that people recognize and are fans of, like kojima and jonothan blow? i'm a fan of everyone at double fine

The 2018 release date was way too optimistic for a game as big as Psychonauts 2, so I never really expected it to come out so early. I'm just glad they care enough about the game to not release it early and have it be garbage.

Their only now starting to make characters and levels, just that alone will take a lot of time.

I was a little ticked off when i found out that the game may not be ready by 2018 but then I realized, this isn't some annual title cranked out by some corporate conglomerate that's just trying to make a quick buck! This is a lovingly crafted work of art! Take as long as you need guys!

Raz's family look great. Take your time. We'll wait.

Seeing all these videos made me finally go back and finish the first Psychonauts. It's so much fun and the characters and world are so lovingly detailed. I cannot wait to get the sequel! (When it's good and ready, of course. Wouldn't want a "Psychonauts 2077" situation.)

It looks fantastic. It's like an HD version of the original. I was ready for a possibly different direction but this is better than anything I imagined. You now have the technology to go wild with the art style. I can't wait to see where you go from here.

I would love to see this on the Nintendo Switch... I know it will take time so after it comes out I understand, but please put it on Nintendo switch when you can

I think Frazie is gonna be my favourite character in this one.

Worth the wait. Been watching people play the first one and seeing what stood out to them. Turns out, different for each person I have found. Some like the small details, others find the platforming stands out most. Some say it's the difficulty, some say it's the sheer amount of collectables.

FUCKBALLS! I need that Raz figurine in my life.

You know what would be a cool idea? It would be cool If you could take us into the mind of a BLIND person. Would you see the sky in SOUND? Light? Black? Letters?

The animations look incredible! Frazie came out beautifully. Watching the full expression of the characters come out is a joy. I imagine the first game would've looked this good if it weren't for the PS2 limitations.

I wish they could duplicate doublefine and make a stealth adventure based on Frazie becoming a psychonaut. While Raz plays therapist and helps fix minds, Frazie plays spy in enemy bases, grabbing intel and sabotaging things

The original game was my childhood, I has a house fire and lost everything. I originally had it on the XBOX but rebought the game for ps2 its the only game I go back to, bringing me back to a simple time. THIS GAME WILL HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN ALL OF OUR LIVES keep up the good work! I can't wait to go back to raz and kill it!
