Psalm 91 - I Trust Him || Bible in Song || Project of Love
Since I began Project of Love I'd been experiencing increasingly severe headaches. The kind that makes it impossible to do anything else but lie still in the dark. Crippling. It would at least cost me 3 days of every week. 3 days I could've spent writing new Project of Love songs.
After having tried just about anything, it finally dawned on me: this is no coincidence, this smells like the enemy's work (it usually smells like crap ;) Which incidentally is why he's referred to as lord of the flies..
So I started searching for scripture that talks about healing. I found quite a lot of them and most of them I've put to music, for you to enjoy soon :)
But Psalms 103 (recently released) and 91 are amazing Psalms which boldly speak of healing. Especially 91 is spot on!
So, when the headaches came, I started singing Psalm 91. I still remember the first time: I had tears in my eyes of the pain pounding in my head and eyes, but those tears soon turned into tears of joy as I kept on singing Psalm 91. I was amazed to find the pain had left me!
I found two profound truths in that moment. It's really hard to sing songs of worship when you're suffering, but when you do, you become a living sacrifice and you're showing the enemy, no matter what you do, I'll still praise my God.
And second, something happens, shifts, when in 'your' pain (it's not YOUR pain btw, don't fall for this lie!) you start singing: "you alone are my refuge, my place of safety, you are my God and I trust you".
That's when the headache lost. Try it. There's so much power in His Word. Believe it and start singing the Word. More scripture for healing you'll find in our healing playlist on Spotify and KZread.
But don't just listen to it, when you can, sing it out loud. Faith is voice activated! 😉

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;

Psalm 91 marked a very important period in my Christian life, I felt the power of God's word acting in a supernatural way in my life. I was having very strong attacks from the enemy, I was very afraid, I couldn't sleep, I took the Bible and read Psalm 91 several times until a peace came to me so great that it exceeds all explanation. Since yesterday when you posted your musical version, I can't stop listening, I feel strong and renewed in faith. I wish you and your wife much strength and may God continue to bless and cover your lives with protection and peace. All glory be given to the Lord.

Have just for days ago wrote Psalm 91 to one who have a prophetic ministry!!! God was talking about to come out of the hiden place! I have been alone for a long time!! Thanks! Two time breast cancer survivor first at age 24-this really resonates! I have been loving your music since it first came out as It makes me so full pf joy to sing it out to God I’m 67 years old now have a debilitating bone disease homebound and yet I’m so happy and it’s because the love of God pours through me most especially when I’m singing your songs which I know is Isaiah and the psalms but I could never sing it before I would just read it. Singing it out has helped me memorize all of these chapters that you put to music and now whatever I need in the moment the appropriate song pops into my heart and I can run it through my head or sing aloud - even if I can’t get to my iPad. It’s just miraculous for me. Hubby is starting to like it too. Now that I can sing these it transform my heart it’s like I didn’t ever realize how much God loves me, especially the God of the old testament that I used to think was kind of a meanie, and now I realize God has always been a lover, especially that song all day long I open my arms. Wow I just can’t get enough of your music. It’s always in my head when I go to sleep when I wake up all day long sustains me I just want you to know the wonderful effect it has on me, I know I’m not the only one this is so healing. Our world needs this so much physical and mental illness out there only Christ can heal and fill that God shaped hole in our hearts. I wish I could send more money - send what I can as I can. God bless you you’re in my prayers and you’ve blessed me so much and I send your music to all my friends and family. I can’t believe you don’t have 7 million subscribers yet. Will,come in time I think.

Your story about the enemy attacking you relates to my own experiences. Thanks Xander for giving me a remedie to fight the evil.
