i'm planning on buying a black carbon sticker for the panels, and for the middle, a white glossy part, its gonna look neat af...

You get less texture with plasti dip by soaking the can in hot water prior to use but other than that it looks great and I love the idea with the red symbol

This is the easiest part about this whole thing. The hardest part is getting your hands on a ps5. It's possible though I got one and a series x so continue trying everyone

It really does! I bought black plates to replace the white ones, I like so much more. I'm wondering why Sony decided to change the color after the previous 3 consoles were all black

Looks really good, Thinking of doing it myself. Just a quick tip though, the second coat of plastidip you did was too much. Rather than 1 light and 2 heavy, its best to do 5 or 6 really light coats, it would help smooth it out so you don't get as much texture.

Yeah definitely plan approaching it differently next time. I honestly would rather just paint it without using the plastidip but until I know I can get new plates with ease if I need to, I want to be able to peel it off.

Looks amazing. I’d really recommend altering the lights to make them red that would make it look loads better and bad ass

The reason why you have jagged edges on the inside from peeling off the tape is. You're supposed to remove the tapped off/ masked off areas within the first few minutes to create a natural clean edge while it is still wet. When removed while dry will rip the dip as evident.

Yeah, I definitely felt a bit weary when painting them. However, if I need to, I can peel it off and it will be right back to stock.

this is my favorite customization so far, and the texturing makes it look more realistic tbh

You spray the plasti dip wet each coat (consistent). That's how you get it smooth and flat without any texture.

Yeah, I like it both ways. I like that Sony gave us the option at least by making the panels removable, even if it was inadvertent. Watch when the custom versions start rolling out, it will be so easy to quickly change the look on a whim. Thanks for watching!

White sucks period. It was a bad idea to have a White PS5.

Looks so much better black, only thing that could top this is if the lights were red. Wonder if there's some clear filter that could be stuck on the blue LEDs without having open up the system at all to get them to appear the same shade of red as the PS logo.

Cold Plasti Dip and spraying too far away can give you that orange peel look. Even with regular paint spraying too far away gives you orange peel texture.
