cool yes its extremely extremely easy to change 25xx and 30xx blu-ray drives. Simply swap out with the working one and you are done.

sorry about the late reply. totally missed it I checked your video. sounds like something is not sitting properly some sort of gear issue. good thing is its ejecting the disc meaning something is dis aligned. Rest by the sound of it is OK. What is your PS3 Model Number and did you change Lens or lens mechanism ?

I wanted to clean my ps3 and I opened it up after watching an old youtube video. I found out that my ps3 isnt the same model as the one i the video :/ But its the same one in this video. I was wondering if you could make a video on how to remove the fan?? Thank you :)

You need disassemble until you can lift the motherboard with the magnetic shielding off the case. Then you need to turn it upside down, remove all the screws from the bottom metal plate, then carefuly lift off the motherboard that is being held in place by thermal paste. Then you have the Fan, Shroud and Top Metal Plate you will se screws under that Top Metal plate --- remove that and the shroud and fan will come of. To put it together again you need to replace the thermal paste. I found this out because I specifically wanted to replace the thermal paste on my CECH 3006B. Hope this helps.

so my drive is accepting games but it doesnt show up on screen.

Just installed my new drive nd it only reads regular movies and dvds as soon as I put a game in it tries to spin it but it makes dat click sound in like 2 seconds can somebody tell me wassup

GameConsoleRepairs+ Instead of just replacing the whole blu ray drive did you take it apart to see what's wrong with it? Maybe check for mis-alignment or maybe clean the blu-ray lens?

$155 for a 1TB hard drive? lmao! americans, always rip you off, Here in the UK you can get a 1TB for £45, shop on eBay it's so much cheaper.

Not all of us. Plenty of places where you can buy 1tb HDD for a lot less than $155 besides eBay.
