There are no contradictions in the Quran, but you should know that Islam allows Violence in form of self defense. I agree with your sentiment, but it’s not necessarily always true. I do believe that diplomacy, in anything, is the most ideal solution and quite often the best one. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will always work effectively for either side, or even work at all in extreme cases. In specific regards to protesting though, I believe _sometimes_ (not always) that protesting is necessary first for both sides to even consider coming to a solution, when they otherwise would not have. Coming to the table doesn’t always happen on its own. It doesn’t always work out either and that’s normal because not every problem will work out quickly and/or merrily.

Mash’Allah!!* (Only God can create such a thing!!*) This brother’s face is exuding the light of Islam!! His face is clearly that of a God fearing man. He is trying to promote understanding & peace amongst Muslims & non Muslims so that they can live in harmony. May Allah protect him & accept his good intentions & protect all his Muslim brothers & sisters, insh’Allah!!* (God Willing!!*). Before the war in Syria, Muslims, Jews & Christians lived in harmony for centuries. Damascus is the oldest standing city in the world. It dates back to when Jesus (Prophet Isa*) walked there. They have cohabited & respected each other’s views. They’ve played together & have grown up together. They never had a religious war. The current war has to do with politics, not religion. Why is that so? Because Islam doesn’t teach hate or killing of people of other religions. All Judeo-Christian root religions are called “People of the book”. It does allow for defense, if others are the aggressors, against Muslims. That is logical & that’s what any other people would do. I pray that bridges of greater understanding & peace, can be built. We are all one human race, in which “Allah created you (us) in tribes, so that you (we) may know one another”*. (From the Holy Quran*). God could have created us all alike, but he didn’t. He wanted to test our humanity towards others. He gives us “free will” to choose. The powers that be, all over the world, want to divide & conquer us. To control us with hate & animosity. Don’t let hate control your hearts & minds! We’re all going to die one day. There’s no escape from death!! We will face our creator, whatever you choose to call him. He has already appointed your time & how you will die, just like your birth. There’s no changing that! The richest of kings or presidents & the poorest of paupers & everyone in between cannot escape death. You can eat well, exercise, & take care of yourself, but one day, you will leave this earth. Are you gonna meet your maker with a black hardened heart, or are you going to meet him with a loving, open heart towards your fellow brethren? We are all striving for good lives. We want the same basic things for ourselves & our families. Peace, harmony, & to just be happy in our day to day lives. You don’t have to agree with everyone, but you should respect each other’s right to choose. That is what Islam teaches. “Peace be upon you!” This is what every Muslim, in the world, greets each other with...Salamalakium!!” The Jews greet with “Shalom!” (Peace!”) as well. Why don’t Christians greet this way? I’m sure they did at one time, but it has been lost over time with changes being made in the Bible. That is sad, because there’s a blessing of unity between people who practice this. These simple words are so strong & they can bring people together even in times of disagreement. A Muslim is forbidden from not returning another Muslim’s “Salam” or greeting. Even if a disagreement has occurred between them. No more than 3 days should pass without speaking “Salams!” between them. This is ordained by God. This reminds us that even though we don’t always agree, we are all still one nation (Muslim Ummah*) under God. Those words are in our U.S. constitution as well. Hmm? Something to think about.

I don't understand how they are allowed to carry weapons in a gang outside a place of worship. In fact that is the definition of terrorism.

Depends on the state and locality you’re in. Laws aren’t uniform across the USA. However, federally, there is no law against it.

No it doesn’t tolerance does that and not persecuting others because they are of a different race or religion. Example - Not persecuting Christians and Jews because you are commanded to do so.

He forgave them all. And that’s just 1 example. If you’re seeing crazy Muslims who tend to make the headlines, then those Muslims have gone against our faith
