Richard "Mac" McKinney is a US Military veteran who, after serving in the wake of 9/11, returned to his home town of Muncie, Indiana with a deep hatred for members of the Islamic community. Mac was so seated in his hatred that he devised a plan to build a bomb and blow up the Islamic Center in Muncie. During his initial "recon" mission to the center Mac intended to gather evidence of the evils of the religion and it's patrons, but instead came to find that they were "just plain pleasant" and after getting to know them and their religion more eventually converted to Islam and is now a devout Muslim. He is joined by Bibi Bahrami, the "Mother Teresa" of the Muncie Muslim community and one of the pivotal figures in Mac's adoption of the religion and it's ideals of peace and compassion.

Even some of the Muslims forget the message in Surah Al-Kafiroon...Allah bless you Mac..
@biased6463
Жыл бұрын
This verse was received by the prophet, peace be upon him, after 10 years of trying to give the message to his folks. And a lot of these folks were his close family members, friends etc.. So the verse ends with: "to you your way, and to me mine" (rough translation of a meaning of it). But for the people reading this that are Muslim, remember, this was after 10 years of trying. So keep giving dawah (conveying the message), until the point you are absolutely sure you have done what you could for a person or a group.

Huge respect to Jon for hosting Mr McKinley on his podcast to share his story
Being an American Muslim, my parents are from Syria and I was born here in Detroit. I understand both sides a lot more, and I watched a video with Richard that he made a while ago and MAN DID I TEAR 😢UP. And now watching this interview melts my heart even more. ps Jon is such a great guy such a badass ASKING great questions I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again being an actor I met him for five minutes at a con, and he actually took the time and looked in my eye and gave me some great acting advice about auditioning, etc. he didn’t have to do that. He also bought some he-man toys from my friend.

Greetings from Bosnia to all of you.
This was a beautiful display of humanity! It’s crazy how a lot of the world’s problems are simply a lack of communication
I'll never, ever get tired of hearing this bloke's conversion story hey? It's just beautiful, and truly a miracle, Ah humdilllah!
Beautiful honesty from a man that was in darkness and he gave to him self another chance just by listening to other side of the story. Wow. That all what it took. Always double check before you judged that will save you a lot of trouble. I loved his story as he said it’s God plan and I believe it 100%. The moment God knows and he knows your intentions, God will got you where you deserve to be.🙏
As Muslims we believe there is no compulsion in religion - it is whom Allah guides and the individuals journey of choice.

Beautiful, four honest loving people sat together. So much to admire and learn.
Beautiful story! Bless you all!✨
I’m atheist to the core, but I was never so happy to hear of a religious conversion, as when I watched Mac’s story a few years back 🙃
I remember once I read a Punisher comic where he was captured by the government and the officials gave an offer to be in the big boys league and be sent to assassin Osamah Bin Laden in return to clean his records and Frank replied “F*ck you, that’s your mess, you clean it while I handle those gangs and corruptions”. Had a big respect for him since then because he refused to be a tool and stood for his beliefs even if they were wrong. Jon is the real and only Frank Castle (The Punisher) to me
I love this episode!!
Man Mac’s story could be a real good movie or tv show even !

Joe Rogan had Dave Chappel on his podcast, Mike Tyson and other muslims. This story was shared on Rogans podcast & instantly got 3x more people who watched this because of his podcast. Its how I heard about this story, from Rogans podcast. Joe Rogan does podcasts w people he wants & its never due to religious believes. He had "the punisher" on his podcast due to liking his movies and life experiences. If anybody on his podcast was anti islam, it was not the reason they were invited nor did he know that. Joe is not very religious but does belueve in being a good person & is against all form of hate and judgement or crime. Kind of the way you judge him based on nothing he did but maybe some believes of guests that were on his shlw for a completely different reason. One thing happened on his podcast, in regards to islam, was the journalists who were killed for making cartoon jokes about Prophet mohammed. To Joe, as well as any real muslim, commiting murder because someome joked about prophet mohammed, is a horrific sin. Joe did not say how this was from few extreme terrorists and by assumption few ignorant hating judgemental people believed that he blamed all muslims. Exactly what you are doing now and the very opposite that islam teaches. People make such assumptions all the time about most things they believe in. So I hope you realize that you are being hateful & judgemental and that the exact opposite is expected from muslims. But we all make mistakes and keep learning so insallah you will do so and become more understading and open minded while not judging and always looking for as much information as possible before you even think of creating a negative opinion and even more careful before you spread and share negativity in any way about anyone. Selam Alejkum

Amazing man!
The chapter that Ustadh McKinney was referring to is the Surah Al-Kafiruun, 109th Chapter with 6 verses; {In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate} "Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O you disbelievers!. I do not worship what you worship, nor do you worship what I worship. I will never worship what you worship, nor will you ever worship what I worship. You have your way, and I have my Way. (in other translation: For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.)"
This is beautiful!
