I CRY when I watch this episode. I pray for my husband who has a religious past, and is now not living for Jesus. I am standing alone in prayer and in trying to teach our 5 year old son about Jesus. This episode was what I needed to hear. God bless you❤

You’re not standing alone in prayer. I’m praying with you and the Holy Spirit is with us. ❤ stand firm in the faith and believe God’s promises. Acts 16:31 We thank you God for your promises that in Jesus are yes and amen!🙏 Edited to add: I’m days late to this episode. I hope it covers how to pray for husband. Sending you love and praying for you to stay alert, do not lose heart, and persevere in prayer! Sending you love.

It definitely resonates with me when you mentioned that God has given you the weapons to disarm the enemy. I was living a Luke‬warm life and allowed the enemy to deceive me. But God called me back and my eyes became more open them they've ever been. But the enemy would attack me (my mind, my sleep, etc.). At night I would feel scared and panicked because I was continuously held down in my sleep by a force (a demon)and I found myself telling God "I'm scared" And I heard God as clear as day ask me "Why? I've given you the authority. So fight back". So to anyone else watching this is 100% true!

Thank you so much Bevere family for yielding yourselves to be such blessings to the body of christ, I was so blessed by the content shared in this episode. My takeaway from this is to use the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit as an offensive weapon to silence the accuser. My faith has been encouraged. Addison , I love the way you honour your Dad and give him his flowers, the lord bless and honour you too, may your children honour you as well just as you honour your father.

I love the Bevere family and the Messenger ministry has changed my life & the lives of others and is having an impact that will affect generations. My humble suggestion is for the team to be mindful that they are speaking to a global multi cultural audience and not just an American/European Western audience. In the region of Asia, the Middle East and Africa ( the region I'm watching from) it is primarily seen as highly disrespectful to publicly challenge or dispute with an elder expecially on a very public and vast platform When John Bevere is talking or has made a point and someone says "I want to disagree with or challenge what you are saying" or disputes his point, it can come across as jarring and shocking, and it can unintentionally alienate your viewers who are not American/Western I grew up around American missionaries from elementary to high school and I travelled from my country to attend college in upstate New York so I understand American culture a little bit more & I KNOW the intention is not to disrespect or diminish John or Lisa but others who havent lived in the USA or experienced the more informal nature of American culture do not. For example, I know someone who has switched off the podcast midway and tuned off because they felt John was being disrespected or there was an attempt to one-up him by contradicting him or pointing out where he might have missed a point (e.g. the offensive weapons in the armour) Your topics are so powerful and life-giving, it would be sad and a shame to lose even ONE soul who cant listen because they perceive a cultural difference as dishonor. To you he may primarily be Dad, which informs the way you discuss but to many multitudes of us he's a highly revered Man of God, one of God's mighty spokesmen in this generation, whose books were bringing great light & guidance to our region before we had livestreams and the Word in sermon teachings at the click of a button. A debate format where the view of the guest is overtly challenged & corrected on-air will limit the ability of audiences outside of the West to flow. Unless he/she is saying something sinful or something that directly contradicts Gods written word, that would lead people astray, the feeling for many watching around the world would be this; if he needs to be corrected, challenged or something he is saying PUBLICY disputed, it should come from his peer (by age group) or someone older than him. Otherwise just take one for the team and keep it moving. Or add your own contradicting point of view on a different episode not immediately after the much older guest has spoken Its non-american viewers kindly suggesting the principle of 1 Cor 9:20, becoming a Jew to the Jews, so your message is heard without hindrances. I believe there is way that adjustment can be done without stifling your own unique & authentic voices. I really love your family & work and hope this doesnt offend, sometimes it can be a tiny little fox in the vine that stops your platform from having the FULL global reach it deserves among multi cultural believers.

SO timely! Thank you for this- would love to hear more about building those strong family foundations. A few questions from this episode, (which will probably be answered in the next one) 1. What are the portals/ points of entry? 2. What to do when children consistently contest and challenge authority? 3. How to lead your children in fear of the Lord? Thank you so much- absolutely loving your practical and powerful topics.

I always look forward to this podcast! I absolutely love these deep and meaningful conversations! You are making a huge impact! I noticed John talked a little about how the boys should have resented him because he was gone so much when they were kids, but they didn’t because his obedience to the Lord kept that from happening. Resentment is something I am so fearful would happen to my children. Something I would love to hear you speak on, if you are willing, is directing and correcting children within the home without weaponizing God or building resentment against God. How do we discipline our children according to God’s standards without them growing angry or resentful towards the Lord? How do we raise Godly children who can embrace and internalize God’s guidance rather than ignore, brush off, or run away from it- especially when the world is telling them that life is better to do it their way? Thank you for everything you do! This podcast has been a huge blessing to me and I’ve shared it with everyone I know! Take care!

Verse 5: Your Maker is your husband and verse 13: all your children will be teached by the Lord and their peace will be great.. This promise keeps me going when I struggle as a single mom, and I feel sometimes overwhelmed. My boys are only 7 and 9. As a mom of 4 little boys aged 4,5,6 years and 5 month old baby, I'm so encouraged by Lisa and John. I praise God for how their sons turned out and I tap into this for my 4 boys in Jesus name. I LOVE every episode. Even when Motherhood deprives me from watching right away, I always come back no matter how long to watch..please keep up this GREAT impactful podcast. I would like to know what your take on homeschooling is? You mentioned it briefly in one of your episodes but can you do a full one on homeschooling? Thank you all

I couldn't help but reply to your comment... Here are scriptures I've found helpful. "In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over" - 1 Peter 3:1 (NLT). "For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up." - John 6:44(NLT) So you're right, continue to pray for him and live out your life in front of him, and trust God to draw your husband to salvation.

My husband and I are raising kids the ages of your kids, I love the Christ-centered wisdom you lay out for us. What it is, is confirmation in many ways and at the same time moments of a new perspective that encourages to keep moving forward. Ideas for future discussions: -different habits or rhythms your family has that you have seen been impactful for your kids and you as a family. Things that bring you together -practical ways to steward your children’s personal faith and relationship with God -do you have any children who are feeling stuffers? Or don’t share emotion or what’s going on easily? And practical ways to get them to open up. -walking through pride with your kids: this was something I found in myself late in the game, while in college. I talk really openly with our kids (almost 13 daughter and 9 year old son), because I didn’t have a clear understanding on pride as a kid. I thought, because I didn’t think highly of myself that I was really humble. I didn’t realize because I was always thinking of myself, I was actually very prideful. “Don’t think less of yourself, think of yourself less”. I also saw as an adult, my perfectionism showing up and the realization that it was a pride (at least in how I personally was performing as a perfectionist), it wasn’t until I got sooo sick with the pregnancy of my daughter, where I had to ask for help, that God broke me of that. So just how to navigate those types of things when you see them in your children. Praying over them and leaving it to God to work in their hearts? Or is it sharing with them when we see these things? -I still would love any more episodes on phones, etc. we have a 7th grade girl who is literally the only girl that she knows without a phone. We have really wonderful discussions on the topic, and she has even shared that if she even had a couple friends without phones, she wouldn’t care if she didn’t have one. So it shows the societal pressure that is out there. Also, any wisdom dealing with your own hearts as parents and if you have felt conviction about any righteousness in your own hearts about your kids NOT having a phone yet (asking from experience 😅) I constantly hand this thing over to God, but I desperately want my kids to be free and enjoy their childhood, yet also have to go through, fail a little, and walk through the other side of that failure to be good steward of this device. It’s just heavy. -One thing I have found, encouraging in my own life, as my kids are sort of in this middle spot in their ages, of being children at home, is that I have had this realization that God prepares your heart for each new stage they step into. What I mean by that is, I used to bring myself to tears thinking about my kids getting older, for example, when will be the last time that I carry them upstairs, or ride on my husband, shoulders, or go to middle school. And what I have found, although I am a blubbering baby before those stages change, in their anticipation, when that time comes, God prepares my heart, and it’s actually a really beautiful thing. he’s changing us as he’s changing them, and we can see how prepared they are for this new stage. Whether it would be going to kindergarten, or going to seventh grade, or graduating high school (although I know I will be a mess at that last one haha). But even with leaving the home, I anticipating an overwhelming joy of who it my kids have become in Christ, that I have at the exact same time as the overwhelming sadness of them leaving home. So just some discussion about sort of that dread of future stages of children, and how God prepares us and them in those moments, which makes it a little less scary, I guess. It makes it beautiful and exciting.

Next topic I would love to hear is regarding leaving your parents’ ( in my case, my mother’s )home to go figure out what you were called to do? Getting closer and being intimate with God is something that I find very hard to do when I am around someone we don’t see eye to eye! I wonder if that is considered being rebellious or that I am sulking! Which I am not, I will turn 30 in a few years and the last thing that I want is to consistently be misunderstood or not understanding the other person, I prefer peace and clarity, and I have not received that since becoming an adult! Hopefully it will help other viewers! Thank you.

I'm new to your show. It's been amazing to listen. Can you speak on the costs of sending children to private school, when the local public schools teach anti-biblical ideas from K-12? Is it worth not investing in a college fund (and not investing in retirement) to pay for Christian education, and plan on taking out student loans for college?

Idk if I'm confused but the reverence John's son has for him is not the same as when he is interacting with his mother. I understand the difference between a sons relationship with their father versus with their mother. But idk He doesn't even smile the same it's like he places his father way above his mother, spiritually. And yet his father holds his mother in high esteem spiritually. I could be wrong but idk. Based of the episode with just a John and the episode with just Lisa. John Bevere is able to do the things he does and see because of the love and support he gets from Lisa through her being holy spirit led. Also his mother was the one with him mostly throughout the years looking after him. .... Just a thought. Disclaimer, it's good to see he thinks highly of his father in the Lord, that's wonderful.

In regard to women protecting the home, the scripture Corinthians 7 chapter and the 14th versus says this: For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. Thank you all for sharing the knowledge and wisdom that the Lord gives you to encourage others.

I fear the Lord. I desire this “home” and I am trying to be faithful in the small things & training/showing our four kids what a life is in pursuit of God. What do I do if my husband, although does love The Lord and desire the things of God, he is not in The Father’s word (Bible) and doesn’t seem to be prioritizing keeping God at the center (prayer, reading his word and walking it out)? Could you please address how to move through this, in a marriage with two believers, but the one feels like he is falling behind, clouded by spiritual abuse from his past.

I am a Christian and all my Family is a Christian but we live in a Muslim Country(Azerbaijan) and i want to ask what to do if someone ( nanny, housemade) is doing praying rituals in your home ? I mean you cant say no dont do it but also how it effects your home if someone is doing it in your house during the day ? It is really hard to find someone here that is christian too and shares the same religion as you do. Thank You.

Yes, women were given authority in OT by God through Moses ... refer to Daughters of Zelophehad... the principle is the same as what JohnB said, you have the authority when there's no male taking that spot. As with Eve and serpent in the Garden, sometimes we are fighting for something that God already gave us, but we don't realize it...
