you can use compressed air and spray under them as you push them on or take them off and it makes it much easier.

Ok cool i really wanted to know if i could repalce the handles with out damaging the throttle on right glad they know people would want to put there own on

Rubbing alcohol works well it lubes it then evaporates

just throw some rubbing alcohol when putting them on eats a tiny bit rubber i assume, but keeps grips STUCK

Next time use hairspray to install. It helps them slide on, and dries as glue.

Hairspray works well. Acts as a lube to slide the grip on, then turns to a light glue. To remove slide a small screw driver under the edge of the grip and spray hairspray in there. I let them dry overnight before riding and they stay put.

There are a hundred tricks for grips I use but when I was a kid out at the jumps and didn't have anything like air or fancy tools at my disposal I would spit in them a little....spit dries sticky and they slide on.They will slide around for about 15-20 minutes but they go on in 20 seconds.

Hair spray works awesome getting grips on. And after it dries they stick like glue.

I no longer need to install my grips since both my wrists broke installing them. I actually found once it stops going on with a lot of force get a hammer and just do light taps on the end and it goes in easier then a a slooty dude

Put them in a pot of boiling water for few minutes. Use gloves as they will be hot but will go on easier. Water then evaporates

I also have a surron. A week ago i was riding in the forest with a few drops of rain. My left grip came flying off.. Stock grip.. i put it back on with glue and a small iron wire just like they do with dirtbikes. Nobody here uses glue to keep it on its place?

yeah the stock grips seem really lose. ive been riding with these pillow top ones the whole summer and they havent moved at all, but that would suck yeah. yeah i saw on some honda dirt bike video how they put grips on dirt bikes with that wire method, i feel like i would be worried about slicing my hand on that little wire on accident. yeah there was someone on youtube putting grips on with glue lol, idk if thats a thing or not, im not super familiar with dirt bike stuff.

@@KevinCarly you twist the wire and then stick the end in the grip. I've replaced my grips already. I have a complete black bike. So i upgraded to black grips with black and red donuts that came with it 🙃 It looks crisp 👌

One more question.. what tires are on the bike in this video? I need to replace my stock trail tire that was on the bike when i bought it. Winter is coming here and its getting muddy, wet leaves and stuff.
