Hey! This is actually a repost of this popular video because someone asked me to edit out a brief clip of theirs(I gave credit), and so I did. Please make sure to like and comment to help me boost it up again! =)

Visited Vermont 9-10/2013...by far, one of the most beautiful states I have visited and am considering to permanently retire in Chittenden County within two years. Your presentation is absolutely outstanding and will definitely contact you once my daughter and I have plans to revisit Vermont...from San A dress, CA.

Haha, if you've ever done video, you realize that you have to be 300% your normal energy for it to come across, which already doesn't come naturally, I do try though! Don't worry, I'm a very friendly person! (usually) 😆

Hey you're welcome man! Lots of investing to be done, although finding deals is the main problem. Inventory is very low and so far we haven't seen the increase in inventory like other states. It's still crazy low.

Hey Jacob, sorry I didn't notice this post. A small city near the countryside is the best of both worlds. The lake looks amazing, it is a great feature. I hope you're having a great weekend! Are you going to do a Christmas Special? I hope so!

Violent crime has exploded in Burlington over the past 18 months, driven by the increasing population of homeless mentally ill and substance abusing people downtown. In 2022, there were 26 murders in Burlington, versus an average of less than 5 in earlier years. Cars are broken into and people are frequently mugged after dark. The city made the decision to defund the police, who now do not enforce many laws. Do not be downtown alone after dark. I would carefully consider this prior to moving to Burlington.

Unfortunately this has a lot of truth to it. They lowered funding for police and now are still trying to play catchup and doing a terrible job. Sad to see. Even during the day some people around downtown are often quite "sketchy" but definitely avoid being out at night.

Burlington didn't have 26 murders in 2022. It had 26 documented/reported gunfire incidents that year, and five total homicides. Nonetheless, that gunfire incident figure is the most in at least 10 years, and car thefts and break-ins are definitely on the rise. I guess that a person would feel like the downtown is unsafe at night if they are from a highly rural area or have spent little to no time in an actual city with a substantial population to it (For instance, Albany, Chicago, Milwaukee, or even Charleston SC or Manchester, NH). I used to live in Both Chicago and Milwaukee, and walk around at all hours of the day and night in Burlington and feel perfectly safe. (And I was never mugged nor attacked in those other cities, either) Though I'm not in love with Burlington, that has nothing to do with safety. I just get tired of the near-constant gray in the winter (during which there's little to do if you don't ski), extremely high cost of living, run-down infrastructure, and small population. If I was Canadian, I'd live in Montreal in a heartbeat and just visit Burlington for festivals on summer weekends.

@@LivinginVermont , the short answer is when I moved away for a fairly long while for work reasons all I really wanted was to get back to my house on Grand Isle. This was between 1987 and 1998. The down side was at that time jobs in winter in VT were either hard to come by or relatively far sway. For instance, before I left I worked at Bolton Valley, but decided to go to Orlando to help open up Universal Studios and I was there for 10 years, but mostly all I thought about was the view out my window on the Lake of the Adirondacks.
