I''m taking forensic science!! As a freshmen, Id have to stay at Casa de Oro, Right? After that as a sophomore could I stay in any of the dorms closest to the main campus in either downtown or Tempe? Cause Id wanna be closer to the main events like you said and rather shuttle to classes.

Congrats! Yes you would stay at CDO your first year and then you should be able to change campuses. I think the general rule is two year on campus and then you can do whatever for the other 2 years, but that could have also been a Barrett rule. My old roommate ended up switching campuses after our second year and she was so much happier because of it. Plus the different campuses are almost like completely different schools vibe-wise.

I’m an online Sophomore and going to join On-Campus this fall. I’m just confused between Tempe and West campus, which one do you think is better?

Hi! It all depends on what your priorities are. If you like a quiet, calm, not busy campus then west is a great place. If you want to have easy access to TONS of events, Tempe is better. West still has events and food options, but tempe just has SO many more. If I could go back in time I would move to Tempe mainly because I think it'd be easier to commute for classes rather than for fun!

I am currently a senior in highschool going to ASU next fall from Massachusetts. I won't get a choice to tour the school beforehand due to the fact that I am so far away, but I am majoring in forensic psych as well. I recently applied to Barrett unsure of what being apart of it actually meant haha. I also want to participate in the accelerated program to get my masters in five years and was wondering if you were doing the same. thank you for this video! any good tips or things I should know?

Hey! I also wasn't able to tour beforehand (I forget if I mentioned that in the video). I am not doing the masters program at ASU; I'm currently applying to other schools though. Barrett requires "the human event" and a first year seminar (last time I checked). The seminar took 0 effort and was pointless in my mind-but that also was on zoom bc of covid. The professors will truly pick apart your human event essays, but that makes your writing for other classes easier. Plus, I personally enjoyed most of the readings. I would honestly recommend getting as many honors contracts out of the way as soon as possible. Again, I chose to do a lot since I was stuck in my dorm bc of COVID and the classes I chose to do the projects in were easier to begin with. It is SUPPPPPPER nice to get free stuff from Barrett events and free printing from the suite. I will say that I only made a few connections in the time I was at ASU but those connections were Barrett students. Just a random fyi, if youre on the first floor of CDO and facing the quad there is a fantastic chance you will have leaf blowers going off startin at 4 am some days so I truly pray they changed that since I've been there since it drove me absolutely crazy. Another thing I would definitely recommend is studying outside (especially by the pool!) Ofc being from the northeast you and I understand shitty weather so the sun is great (but omg hydrate hydrate HYDRATE for move in and the first few months bc that was definitely unexpected for me). If theres anything else youd like to talk about lmk!

@@Vkamby Of course!! For Barrett it might honestly be a situation where you try it for a year and see what you think, if that is something you can afford. Its different for everyone though. Good luck next year!!!

ASU has one of the highest acceptance rates I have seen for schools I looked at. I believe the last time I looked it was around 88%. As for the average GPA I am not so sure, but based on the high rate its safe to assume they accept a very wide range of GPAs
