I have been using this tool for 4y now with no problems. If you're only doing some plumbing every once in a while, this is the way to go.

    I have that tool same company a little different design but it works presses good no leaks! it mashes the copper a bit but you can get your pump pliers and round off the sharp edges good luck 👍

    Been using it for about 6 months now, . Never had a problem,, most of the time I just use my torch, but when I'm rushing I use this tool ..

    they make this exact one except with the pro press style spring jaw....i have it and it works great ...easier to get into tight spaces..

    I bought the one you have. Any issues with the 1/2? I did a couple test crimps and it doesnt seem to crimp on one of the sides. Do you have the same issue?

    i have not used the 1/2 that much mostly 3/4 i did a lot of water heaters with it -- its hard to find the fittings so on a 1/2 repair ill use old school lol

    @@sretniwe no problems at all...it can be tough to get it off once crimped and you release the jaws....just give it a wiggle and it back and forth an it will pop off...if your in a cold climate and it sits in your van make sure its at room temp ..the hydraulic fluid needs to be flow good..

    There appears to be a variety of brands that are similar 🤔 having seen your review I might buy a zupper brand looks like longer handles for better leverage.

    Thinking picking one up too, price is cheap compared to the big names. How are the crimping dies, good quailty?

    It works good but I am still working on getting the Rigid tool only and then getting the 3/4 end its only 1100 lol . Thanks for the comment

    Its a great grab for elite techs , most companies only have a few big pp guns and they usually are on install trucks + are so heavy a service guy wouldn't want it on his truck . These ones can do the job . 20 presses a week is a lot for service and the thing weighs like 4 lbs . Ideal really

    Every plumbing service guy has a press on truck, every plumber has a press now days. I bet some plumbers can’t sweat now days lol

    @@adamw3389 that's not even close to true , most companies share one press over 4-5 techs . Install crews will have one per crew . Pipe fitting is a complicated buisness. You don't know much .

    @@mikepict9011 EVERY service plumber at my shop has a Milwaukee PP on their truck. It's standard nowadays. Also pipe fitting isn't that complicated once you know what you're doing dork.

    @@justinlee5958 I've been doing this long enough to know . Your probably making lots of mistakes. But im hvac , so I deal with much different chemistry and tolerances then you . Complicated? I'm worth six figures

    @@justinlee5958 90% of what we do wouldn't be code compliant with PP . Zoom lock has the bell problem where every manufacturer puts a female swage on so in a homerun which should be the goal , it's useless. It's for water heaters . I don't trust mega press , to many leaks . It's 2000 . If your boss JUST does plumbing ok . But its a joke the number of pipe fitting tools I carry . Plumber

    This one is for water lines only sorry I haven't found one for AC lines yet but there is ---(sharkbite like) fittings you can get i have used them and there with the $$

    @Christ_is_King951 you have to wiggle it around to find the right spot. It's a pain to do T fittings

    no that is plumbing only AC is different type of fitting -- ac copper is soft there is quick connection fittings for AC but hard to find and i think you can get the fittings for AC that may work but then you need the tool (for) ac installation I hope that info helps you

    I still do from time to time (solder) BUT propress is faster and can do if water is present and its still copper and Stationary fittings unlike Shark bite or pex

    FYI. I still use it with no problems, but looking into the rigid progress cause it's affordable lol. $1300

    These are fine for 1 or 2 joins. But don't buy one with plans to reno your bathroom.

    I have used it for over a year and install 20+ water heaters with no problems. I would use it to reno a house--- and save myself thousands of dollars
