I've never dealt with Temu but have had loads of stuff from AliExpress and Chinese sellers on e-Bay. I've been favourably impressed for more often than disappointed. I got one of those big aluminium adjustable spanners for large plastic things like the nuts that hold lavatory syphons in place, U-bends &c.

Pull a 90 in chrome pipe for an underfloor rad tail. Swage one end and solder it to the copper under the floor. No filing chrome off to solder a coupling in.

My wife discovered Temu and now she can't be stopped!!

Get a 3" screw and put it in the nozzel and let it cure...and just pull it out. This is how I clean mastic nozzels..

I got a Nerrad wide jaw adjustable spanner like that for syphon nuts I also use it on gas meter unions, comes in handy and very light 😊

I've got one of the wide jaw adjustables - I use it for plastic nuts only like flush valves or cheap basin wastes

Try do an install with all bends and swaged joints James would be cool to see a video of that, no fittings

That 68mm Adjustable is one of the best and most used tools I own, it’s ideal for waste fittings and Toilet Cistern flush connections, I have only had it a couple of weeks and use it everyday 😊 Julie

Temu is generally ok , not bad at all

Hint re swaging, blowtorch the fitting first... get it really overly hot then quench or let it cool... and clean it.. Copper work hardens and that will make it easier :) (Sorry for preaching to the choir)

Hi what I found is any of the silicone tools wait until it has gone off then remove the worm type bit even a set of pliers to pull it out . Have a go so yes you have to have a couple in the van

The critical thing is when you use those tools when it matters, don't rely on them as the only choice. I'm sure they will fail/break as they material used will be at a reduced cost.

yes i have been going a bit wild my self tbf and honestly i cant knock anything iv bought so far the quality is not the bets but its far from bad tho and for the price of everything its really helpful and worth it for most people when they need something in a pinch obviously some things on there may not be any good at all but majority of it is great iv had over 100 items so far and all have been great quality so just pay attention when buying read all the descriptions and you should be good

Ive used #2 phillips bits, bit holders, key chIn knife, tool bag, plastic storage containers and kitchen gadgets with out any issuse so far with the exception of a drill bit that broke on the first try. I have other stuff that i havent used yet.

@plumberparts - when it comes to silicone sealing. Spot the silicone approx 1 cm intervals. Then using the sealant profilers, simply drag one spot to the next... that way you minimise waste and get a better quality finish 😉

Non-tool related but I bought a pair of replacement ear pads for my Bose headphones. 35 euro from Bose. 7 euro from Temu. Identical. I got a fiver credit into my account because the order was 2 days late too. Think the whole order came to just over a tenner with whatever else junk I bought. Tool related, 10 pcs mini spanner set. 4-11mm and all the .5s in between. Didn't think I'd ever need them but they've proved their worth. 8 euro. Really can't complain

Of course it's all politics when it comes to the likes of Temu, TikTok, etc. or those that aren't establishment compliant . If Britain can do such productions, I'm sure many will be supportive to give it a go. So far, most affordable are the plastic utilities I can find in shops like HomeBargains. Even poundland is much pricier than HomeBargains and BMStores. I can't blame them when there's no independent hardware stores and people turn to the likes of Temu, etc.

Are you an ambassador for temu now. I heard some other plumber became a brand ambassador for some copper tubing crowd and he has slowly stopped doing plumbing videos. They gave him an offer he couldn't refuse

Temu are ok for consumable stuff like jigsaw blades etc, also small things like Allen wrenches, screwdrivers etc. Would never buy power tools from them as the quality is very suspect. They're also no good if you're in a rush as everything takes so long to deliver, but then it is cheap and free delivery.

Got the adjustable spanner it's crap 😂 but getting the silicone shaper that's a winner but not from tenu . Uk salers only 👊😂

Got a usb powered submersible pump and use it for cistern repairs. Flush, fire it in the cistern, hose in the pan, plug it in, and walk to the van to get whatever i have forgotten 😂 and its empty by the time I get back.
