Presenting, examining and explaining the book: Τὸ Μυστήριον τοῦ Χριστοῦ (The Mystery of Christ), written by the Cell of the Resurrection on Mount Athos, this lecture series aims to bring the Athonite catechism to English speakers for the first time.
Join Fr. Peter, your translator and guide, on this journey of exploring the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, that we might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Thursdays at 5PM Pacific, 8PM Eastern across The Orthodox Ethos platform, including KZread, Instagram, Crowdcast, Rumble, Facebook, X and orthodoxethos.com, followed by a member's only live Q&A. (The Q&A will take place 10 minutes after the completion of the lesson, and will go live as a separate livestream for members.)

1:06:35 Lord have mercy! Of course you can’t help a neighbor take offerings to their Hindu idols. 🤦‍♂️ I guess I’m glad they asked the question so that they could be warned of sin, but how is this even a question? Are you new to Christianity? This is like asking if you can drive someone to go get an abortion, or if you can let your friend use your house to have an affair with someone. Of course not. You might as well commit the sin yourself. I remember being amazed even as a Protestant how many people lacked discernment about idolatry- like professing Christians doing horoscopes, or fortune telling, or going to a non-Christian religious service. Recommended reading Exodus 23:24, Deuteronomy 7:25, Joshua 23:7, Acts 19:18, 2 Corinthians 6:16, to name a few.

Enoch not being canonical does not mean it was not accepted by the church, it means it is not read in public in the church. The New Testament quotes Enoch multiple times, should we not understand what the saints are referencing in context of the passages they are quoting?

How could it not be accepted when we were once in communion with the Ethiopian church for centuries with it being in their cannon? Were the fathers just unaware? They never communicated or visited Ethiopia? They didn't notice in the first ecumenical council that this was an issue? In fact it was never part of any schism in the church. Therefore clearly not condemned by the church

@@donhaddix3770Then why were we in communion with the Ethiopian Church with Enoch in their cannon even after the Gnostics were condemned in council? Also it was found amongst the Dead Sea scrolls, so pre gnostic

Christianity is not based on fact evolution is a fact. Even God himself evolves if that were not true then there would be no reason we should exist. Our creator created not only our physical but also a spiritual being. When we dive into the spiritual aspects of creation that which is fact is of little significance. Instead that which we cannot comprehend manifest into that which is everything. God is The Force of All , God is Son and Spirit just as white light is a collide scope of colour so to is God , the beginning without end so that that which was not becomes. God manifests from light to matter and by the taking the holy Eucharist we become a unified body , one with God. Our belief is far more than the bible , the bible is a simplified message made understandable to man.

This is what comes from forced conversions and forced baptisms: generations of accursed pseudo 'spiritual' drivel and atheist humanism! As a fellow Greek, I can say our (ethnic) church reeks of it.
