Properly Mount Your Beadlocks! Sickest setup on a quad | Project 250R Part 11
If you don't follow the proper procedure when mounting up your beadlock wheels, you might have some problems. Here is a guide to mounting sport ATV tires on OMF beadlock wheels. This procedure will apply to pretty much any wheel, however, the amount of torque you need and using shims may vary from wheel to wheel.
You can buy OMF wheels for just about any machine here... HSDRacing.com. If you don't see your wheel on there, call them and they will walk you through it 🤘

    It's important to grip your torque wrench at the end where the grip is; if you use it the way I do in this video you will slightly over torque your bolts. Thank you for the people that reached out and corrected me; I was unaware of this 🤘 If you could run any beadlock on your bike... what would you choose 🤔 Thank you so much and all you guys and gals ROCK!!! 🤘

    Someone will have to explain that to me. It make zero sense. You set the torque, not the force!! If the wrench is set to 'clic' at 10 ft*lb, you, doing it by pushing 1lb at 10inchs or pushing 2lbs at 5inchs is the same torque!! The only thing is that you will have to push harder.

  • @j.need4qlife483

    @j.need4qlife483

    Claude, you are correct. Holding the torque wrench at the very end add more leverage to make it easier to reach the set torque value. Granted, holding the torque wrench lower down the grip will require more effort which if your struggling to reach the desired torque value.

    I’m in the process of mounting beadlocks, but I’m confused about something. After the ring is put on, how does the bead of the tire get seated on the ring side? You get the tire “over” the outer edge of the wheel.

  • @djmystery7235
    @djmystery72354 жыл бұрын

    One good way to set the tire bead without over inflating is bouncing it on the ground. Be careful though, it might go sky high if you aren’t holding it tight.

    I like how you are teaching to torque your bolts... but... you are using the torque wrench incorrectly.. you need to pull on it from the end where the knurled grips are.. that’s how they are calibrated.. as you did it.. even though it clicks, it’s only reading the torque from where your hand is placed, so they are actually overtorqued .. been a heavy equipment mechanic for 30 years, just trying to help you out.. keep bringing the great videos!

  • @MichaelSabo

    @MichaelSabo

    Dude, I've actually never heard of this. I would think the torque at the socket is the same no matter where the wrench is gripped; just more or less difficult for the person wrenching.
